Hi everyone

Looking for either reassurance or reality checks but please go easy on the tough love…I have had the most ridiculously anxious two weeks!

I had my first FET on 7th November. Had some spotting a few days before I was due to test, cue first round of grieving as I’d assumed it hadn’t worked. On my test day (Friday 22nd Nov) got lots of lovely extremely positive tests, cue much happiness! Dr prescribed Lubion injections as I was still spotting a little. Cut to Tuesday 26th Nov when I had bleeding in the morning. It died out in the afternoon and then came back briefly on Wednesday 27th when I also passed a small clot. Cue grieving once again for the rest of the week. Our doctor is away and we are due to see her on Thursday for what would have been our scan. She asked us to test on Tuesday (tomorrow) as that will have been a week since bleeding. As I’m normally rushing in the morning to leave the house by 7am to get to work I thought it would be good to do one tonight to take the sting out of it and one in the morning would be less heartbreaking. Pink dye test is just as strong as all the others. Clear blue is still just as strong and cane up straight away. Digital is saying 3+.

I know tests can show as positive for a while afterwards but there is literally no change. Is there a chance? I know the only way to really know is a blood test or scan but I’ve never been in this position before with this being our first round so I’m very much a rookie. I’m also slightly losing my mind! Please be kind! Thank you 🙏🏻

Aw thank you @Frenchie86 thats really reassuring. Did you get any spotting? I’m still getting a tiny bit of brown spotting every now and again but it really is minimal. I’m feeling super nauseous today so I’m hoping that’s just regular pregnancy stuff…

No not really, I just felt a gush one day and went to the loo and it was bright red so panicked and took myself to A&E where they thankfully saw a heartbeat. It tapered off after a day or two, so I suppose you could count that as spotting? They did say it was super common, and that some women bled throughout the pregnancy. Sounds like you are having positive symptoms, though.

@Daniki thank you. I have absolutely no idea, what even is sub chronic haematoma? They just showed us where the blood was and measured it 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's basically like a pocket of blood around the uterus I think? I'm not 100 but is one of the main reasons for bleeding in pregnancy especially after IVF!

MrsBP15 · 06/12/2024 13:48

@Frenchie86 thank you for sharing. Yes over the last week or so I’ve heard a lot of stories so turns out it’s really common which of course no one tells you 🫠 I seem to be quite nauseous and I’ve got sensitive boobs so I guess that’s something. I’m still on ivf meds though so I’ve got that in the mix! One thing I’ve noticed is my tummy gurgles a lot, can be pretty embarrassing in meetings!

@Daniki I’m pretty sure that’s what it is but she just didn’t tell us the name (unless she did and I missed it). Yes I’ve now heard it’s common for ivf pregnancies….why don’t they tell us?! Just another thing to navigate though of course I am just so happy that it’s worked

@MrsBP15 Congratulations, that must all have been scary but so glad things are looking positive for you! Hope all continues on a positive trajectory

Thank @tpeas it was just a really stressful and unpleasant few weeks as I grieved the loss twice but am obviously so relieved it has worked out the way it has. Fingers crossed it stays reasonably calm from here on in x
