What are reasons that a euploid embryo might not stick?

Currently embryo banking with PGTA testing.
I've got a few in the freezer and hopefully will start to transfer in Q1-Q2 next year after we've banked enough. I'm going with 3 euploid embryos per 1 baby that I would like to have, so 9 euploids = 3 babies, based on internet research and what my doc said. Am I correct in thinking that should be enough? What are some factors what a euploid might not stick or results in a miscarriage? Should I request some more tests before starting transfers?

I have one child conceived naturally 3yrs ago and had 1 IVF miscarriage (no PGTA)

@GreatEggSpectations - I am going ahead with PGTA testing as well. Awaiting for clinic update on Day 5 development. Had 11 week miscarriage during lockdown and one chemical on frozen transfer. Running out of time and money now so PGTA it is. Would be interested to see what other people think on your situation.

I think depending on how many normal embryos I end up with will amend my treatment plan accordingly. Have you been recommended any extra tests etc? I'm aware of ERA Alice etc but wonder if it's worth transferring healthy embryo first to see the outcome.

That's what I'm not sure about - ERA ALICE EMMA seem to have popped up in my research and I need to ask my doctor about it. Making these embryos is so hard work, and expensive, so I'm not sure I want to waste them if my uterus isn't going to be receptive. But equally do I want to put myself through a biopsy when it may not be needed

@GreatEggSpectations if you've had a healthy pregnancy and birth previously I'd say that you don't need to do Emma/alice tests as your uterine receptivity would have been good for you to have had a child naturally.

Did you have a natural birth or c section? If c section maybe uterine environment would be worth checking?

Other than that I'd say your odds are good with a euploid embryo because your body has already shown it can implant an embryo and have a continued pregnancy and birth. You wouldn't necessarily need 3 euploids for one birth either, maybe one would work for you :)

@browneyedgirl626 I'm just quite worried about it and mentally I feel like I'd like to know that when I'm done I'm done, I'm not going back to egg collections. So I'm trying to get a stash of enough embryos. Just unsure how many that is

@browneyedgirl626 oh and sorry forgot to reply to this bit, natural birth but induction and ventouse so assisted delivery

Wondering the same actually! Our consultant said 2 or 3 per live birth. Seems a lot though...

We've also been embryo banking, have 6 PGT-A tested embryos, we were aiming for 4 with the hopes of 2 babies from those but feeling more reassured with 6! My doctor was happy with those numbers and will go ahead (hopefully) with a FET in January. Have discussed ALICE/EMMA but as it's expensive, invasive and lengthy, going to try 1 transfer before any more testing. I'm risk adverse but 2 years in with a TFMR and a chemical behind me, I'm keen to crack on and just keeping everything crossed 1st time is a charm for us. I've seen stats that with a PGT-A tested euploid embryos it's a 60-65% chance so am just hoping they're in my favour this time!

Hi OP. I don't think there are any guarantees either way, but your age will play a big part, and whether you have any underlying fertility issues.

What is the reason you are doing it this way rather than naturally? Is it due to infertility or age or because you are going to be a single mum by choice?

It's difficult to comment without a bit more context/ history?

(Edit: Sorry for my username, if it is triggering, I meant to change it as it's the one I normally only use to post on the pregnancy forum but now it won't let me change it. I know how hard this journey is having been on it for 5 years and had no intention of upsetting anyone, sorry).
