IVF London Women Clinic in Darlington

Has anyone used IVF North East Hartlepool with egg collection and embryo transfer being carried out at London Women Clinic in Darlington? I’ve exhausted NHS (James Cook) and now considering private . I believe the model at IVF North East is that the consultations are carried out at Hartlepool Hospital but the main treatment of egg collection and transfer is at a different clinic, LWC in Darlington. Looking for some recommendations and your experience on using this clinic please. Thanks

Hey, have no idea about IVF North East or Hartlepool Hospital, but I can highly recommend LWC Darlington Dr Neha Joshie.
We have had all of our Private IVF treatment here & they make you feel like your listened to, like your not just a statistic. From reception to nurses, all are fantastic.

@Razberry12 we are private with LWC Darlington - Dr Ashour. We went through GAIA Family for a protection plan as this works out better for us than paying the clinic directly. If you're new to private you may want to look into partners such as GAIA, as they can be more affordable. Also for any medication relating to IVF Asda sell at cost, so this can save you a lot of money if you ask for the prescription rather than buying the drugs direct from an IVF clinic. As for the clinic, they are lovely. We got pregnant first time with assisted conception and now I'm pregnant again following our first egg transfer with them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Congratulations on your pregnancies ☺️
I've just signed up with Darlington but wish I'd known about the option to use Asda 😞

I'm currently waiting for my care plan. But due to commence beginning October (thought I'd have heard something by now, but my
Meds are arriving next week)

Glad to hear you've had a good experience

@spamOFtheDAY thank you! I wasn't aware until later on, so we never asked for the medication at the start which really racks up. When we got further along and we needed lubion this is when I found out about the differences in prices as they wrote a prescription. From memory from the clinic a box of seven vials is £120+, where as Asda was £50 something. Definitely worth asking about for the full medication being on a prescription instead if you can in the future. I certainly will be if we go again! Do you have the Salve app? You can message the nursing team through there and it should show your appointments and medications once they update your plan. Best of luck for next month!

Congratulations on your pregnancies. That puts my mind at ease. Thanks for the tips on medication and GAIA, i haven’t heard of them but will look into it! My consultant suggested using a delivery service Fertility2U which he said was cheaper as they don’t charge VAT and takes away the hassle of sourcing the medication yourself especially if some places don’t have it in stock. I guess it’s a weigh up between convenience and cost.
