I had a bleed 25 July at almost 6w pregnant, went for a scan, was told pregnancy not developing so I stopped all the meds. Was bleeding heavily for a few days, now bleeding is much less.

How soon after a mc did you get ovulation?

Not sure why I feel like this but I've seen so many posts / heard opinions from women after a miscarriage saying they can't bring themselves emotionally to ttc again after a loss. I just want to be able to ttc asap

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks, and I had bleeding/spotting for about 3 weeks after that. I first ovulated 5 weeks after my miscarriage, but we were told by the doctors to allow at least two periods before we try for a baby again. I think I needed that time to recover emotionally, but there's nothing wrong with feeling like you need to start trying asap! It might be a good idea to check with a doctor anyway to see how soon you're physically ready to try again.

@BelleCrescent thank you!! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, must have been devastating at 13w, just when you think you're "out of the woods" with the 12w mark...

Do you know why they said to allow 2 periods?

I can't remember the reason behind, I think it was just to allow time for my body to recover. I did have a very difficult and traumatic miscarriage and I needed to spend a couple of nights in hospital.. If you didn't have any complications and the bleeding is over, maybe you don't have to wait as much as I did? Did they say anything to you about when to try again? I think miscarriage at 6w is so early (sorry, I'm not trying to say it's not difficult), that it shouldn't have the same effect on your body as a later one. I don't want to mislead you though so it's best to call your GP!
