Struggling with IVF weight gain!!

I’m really struggling with gaining weight after IVF.
I’ve had one fresh cycle in Feb and just had my frozen transfer earlier this week but I’ve noticed I’ve gained lots of tummy weight!!

At first I put it down to the medication for the fresh cycle as I was soooo bloated with the stimulation injections. Then it seemed to go down slightly but not completely after the failed cycle.

I stupidly weighed myself last week and found I’ve gained 1 stone since I was weighed at the clinic before my fresh cycle started (4 months ago).

the thing is I’m eating the exact same as I always have done! My tummy looks noticeably bigger as that’s where all the weight gain seems to be.

Is anyone experiencing this as a side effect too? A nurse at my clinic said that some patients will gain 8 pounds with every cycle they do and it can be tricky to loose 😳

I’m hoping some positive stories will help me!

Heyy its the same with me. Its actually been bothering me so much. I don't know how to take that weight off. I don't feel comfortable or confident about my body especially my stomach which has always been flatter than what it is now. I was even looking into fat loss injections 👀 but I dont know whether thats okay if I'm going through FET 😩 I would love to hear how if people have put on weight went about taking it off

Same for me. Gained 4kg within 10 days with previous failed cycle in Jan, and still haven't been able to lose 3kg (guess 1kg was just bloating /water retention). It seems to have totally changed my metabolism, I used to be able to lose weight fairly easily if I ate sensibly, now don't seem to be able to shake off that 3kg after 4 months... Also around my tummy, used to have a very small waist/flat belly now has got a tummy... Dreading what would happen when i have more cycles since i have low amh /afc

I’m the exact same!! I feel awful about my body now as my tummy was always flatter but now it’s not at all and I’ve become so self conscious about it. I’ve definitely noticed that other people look down at my tummy when talking to me 😭 so I’ve started to wear baggy jumpers / hoodies to cover it up!

Normally loosing weight would come a lot easier to me as well, just by eating sensiblly, and be back to my normal size within a few weeks. But NOTHING is working to budge the tummy weight gain!! I’ve googled sooooo much too.

I’m also dreading how much weight I’ll gain and what future cycles might do to my tummy! I think it has really changed my metabolism too and I hate it.

i haven’t googled fat loss injections yet but I will now!! Although I’m not sure it will work well with IVF treatment 🙈 we might be stuck this way for a while! ☹️

It is very annoying indeed although for now i'm just focused on getting some frozen embryos successfully... then there's always stuff like ozempic!
