Hello everyone,

Thank you for everyone who share their experiences it had help me for the past few years.

A bit of background: I am 38 and had my FET on Saturday 27th. This is my 1st IVF. 7 egg, 4 embryo but only 1 survive to day 5 - grade 2BB. It been 4 years to get to today. I had a fibroids and pregnancy tissues that got reabsorbed and both were in a bad position were remove under general anaesthetic before I could start my journey.

I have spoken to my nurse and doctor regarding side effects after my transfer as I so ITCHY. My body come and go but my scalp and neck is very bad.
I thought it might be allergic but my nurse said since i have no itchiness around my private from the suppositories is a clear sign I not allergy to it. Advices to see a doctor. She said itchiness is symptoms.
Been to doctor yesterday and he believe it the chemicals change in my brain such as hormones are what causing the itch. He told me if I can hold off taking antihistamines for these 2 week as my body will be sensitive to meds and instead told me to get calamine cream for my skin and drink more fluid to help
hydrated my body and will reduce the itchiness. But got Loratadine when I do stuffer too much.

My question is has anyone also got similar symptoms? And if so how did you resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

@SunnyTiger oh my goodness, I am so glad I saw this thread. I did a fresh IVF cycle in January and the tops of my thighs and shins have been so SO itchy! It stopped about late March, and I’m doing a new medicated FET cycle again and it’s back! So you’re not alone! I have been taking nothing as I thought I was going mad 🙈

@StillTTC7
Thank you for responding to my post. I was starting to think was it just me being over sensitive.

I have started drinking fliter water instead of drinking cold water from the tap. (I live up North so the chemicals in water might may be effecting me) And anything sweet is eaten in the day such as my daily yogurt and fruit. Read somewhere reducing sugar intake before bed will help reduce itchiness. So far this has help a lot as I not getting up every 4 hrs to apply the cream.
