Blocked tubes - GP and IVF referral

I was told 2 years ago following a diagnostic lap looking for endo that I have one fully blocked and one partially blocked tube, and that natural conception when I tried in the future was unlikely, but not impossible.

I was advised to try for 6 months and then the GP should refer me for IVF. We waited two years to try as we were a bit younger and in the middle of buying a do-upper house. I've now tried for 5 months with (unsurprisingly) no success, so I'm looking to go to the GP.

I know usually the GP does some initial testing which can take a few months, but I'm wondering will they need to do that or will I just be referred straight to a clinic as the cause is known?

I'm just trying to get a sense of timescales.

Thank you.

The gp can't do anything but to reffer you to a specialist ...gp may send you for blood test and that is all. Also every new clinic you go to will want to check your fertility - hormones, tubes check ....not sure with the NHS as I'm doing it privately and the waiting times are very short
