FET protocol with endometriosis

Hi all,

I was wondering what FET protocols have led to your rainbow babies? I’ve had 2 fresh transfers in the past (one BFN, one ectopic), but this will be my first FET. My consultant has suggested Estrogen tablets, progesterone pessaries and injections, blood thinners and a steroid.
A bit of background about me - I’ve got low AMH, autoimmune issues and severe endo, which I had pretty major surgery for just over a year ago. (I’ll be having an mri prior to this transfer to make sure my endometriosis isn’t causing any major problems.)
Following a complete change of clinic and protocol, we’ve now managed to get 3 embryos in the freezer (1 day 3, 1 day 5, 1 day 6) which I am over the moon about and want to make sure we’re doing to best we can to eventually bring one of them home! Is there anything else anyone’s tried or would recommend prior to or post transfer that worked for them?
Thank you!

I have no experience with endo myself but I have a friend who has endo and she was put on medically induced menopause for 3 months prior to FET in order to clear the inflamation. She was successful on her first try.
I have adenomyosis and I did a similar protocol but for a shorter time - 6 weeks and the uterus and lining loooked much better. I haven't been successful, but I suspect the embryo wasn't normal (untested).
Unfortunately the treatment is quite brutal, you will exeperience a lot of side-effects, but it's worth a try.
You could read more about this protocol, it's called Lupron protocol and discuss it with your doctor.

@Mistymist
thank you for your reply! I did mention doing down regulation to my consultant, but he didn’t seem to think it would make much difference. I think I might mention it to him again though as lots of other people with endo seem to follow a similar protocol.
Our embryos are also untested, mainly because we don’t ever manage to make many embryos at a time but I wonder if that is something we should look into if we’re unsuccessful with these transfers.

While I don't have any personal experiences to share, I believe the webinar on endometriosis and IVF will be helpful for you. I frequently join their webinars, led by top experts, and I'm grateful for their willingness to share their knowledge and expertise. Hope this helps.
