Has anyone had any problems while taking maca?
I went out and bought maca powder a few days a go to try help me conceive as I've heard really good things about it... I started taking it what should have been cycle day 2 thinking it was going to bring on my period etc im now I think 5 days late im getting mild cramps but still no period
But now I've done some digging and some women have reported stopping or delaying periods
Has anyone had this problem before 🤦🏻‍♀️

@ccl1 I went bought the strips 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 bought two packs so that should be enough and I'll start testing in a couple days.

I couldn't find them on Amazon which is odd which is why I went with the powder x

@ccl1 I've tested for ovulation already I'm bad for it only came off last night 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Red maca is suppose to be really good for fertility🤞🏻 I'm defo gonna have a better look on amazon, I can't taste the maca in hot chocolate so that's what I've been taking it with recently lol are you taking anything else like pre natal etc I'm also taking seven seas, has really good reviews on amazon was only 3 quid a box so I got them as well x

i was the same as soon as my af stopped 😂

deffo have a look, i’m sure tablets are much easier and handier! i took conceive plus for a while then started taking proceive but they gave me awful acid reflux so i had to stop 😩 going to see how i go this cycle and if we don’t conceive this time im going to restart proceive on the first day of af next cycle.

all the reviews for conceive plus and proceive were good, people were saying they hadn’t finished the box before they got pregnant but i’m skeptical x

There might be alternatives to procieve. Seven seas has good reviews also women saying they got pregnant 2 weeks after taking them so I picked them up last year but I wasn't consistent on them so I've just started taking them again really small tabs and easy to swallow doesn't leave a nasty taste in your mouth.

If I don't conceive this cycle I'll probs get my hands on inositol that's meant to be really good as well.

My partner has just started with a flare, I'll be going in my fertile window supposedly in 3-4 days time this always happens when it's time to try 😔 hopefully he be okay by that time so we can get baby dancing 🤞🏻 x

i’ll have a look at them, might get me a pack! the procieve ones leave a fishy taste it’s awful😩

i got inositol after i finished my first month of conceive plus as that’s what’s in conceive plus but it’s much much cheaper! i never stuck at taking them though, im terrible for not sticking out these things!

@ccl1 yeah they're in a purple thin box I forgot what the name is I'll have a look when I get home.
I went as far as making moonwater as well last year funnily enough that's the month I conceived but had the chemical... so I won't play with with that again 😂 I took an ovulation strip this morning and was in strip that there was no line at all but last night I got a line I know that still means negative but like wtf 😂 couldn't help but through a wobbler hahaha 😂

I'm on the way to his mums to pinch a few pain relief for him so hopefully I can try next week x

oh gosh i’ve never heard of moon water but yeah probably best to stay away! my evening lines are much darker, i was the same, had a darker line on wednesday night then took the ovulation test yesterday morning and there was no line at all! then i read that you’re not supposed to use your first urine and it’s best to hold for a few hours.

hopefully that helps! we are planning on just having some drinks tomorrow and relaxing before trying next week 😊x

@ccl1 so moon water is you've got to pour bottled water into a jar put a pregnancy test on top with a note saying "I'm pregnant" Followed with a pregnancy test and the full moon will charge the water and you drink it in fertile window all the way through.

I'm new to the whole ovulation tracking I don't really understand it so that's helped 🥰
What are your cycles? I'm usually between 24-26 days so apparently in fertile window in a few days x

i’ve been logging my ovulation tests into the premom app and it helps to see the progress of the lines!

i actually have no idea what my cycle is now, i had no periods for 6 years, and this is the first month ive had a period since stopping depo. the flo app says ovulation is sunday so im just testing my ovulation to see if i actually get a peak. todays test was a lot darker than yesterday so im hoping i will get a peak soon. have you used any of the apps? x

@ccl1 yeah I'm tracking my ovulation on the premom app too they all stand at 0.11🤦🏻‍♀️😂 and I'm tracking my period by another app which I've had for years they are both telling me 2 different fertile window dates and ovulation which is pretty confusing but as long a do keep tracking I'll be okay.... yeah moonwater is pretty different to say the least😅😂 but it worked I just didn't carry

So if I were you I'd just keep tracking till that line gets darker it's averaging 10-14 days after ovulation baby dance every other day 😂🤞🏻 x

mine was 0.3 on wednesday, yesterday was 0.17, keep taking the tests hoping it’ll be darker but it’s slowly getting there😂 i think drinking too much fluids can also affect the test! my flo app says ovulation is tomorrow and premom says ovulation is today but good thing im testing cause there’s no chance ovulation is today or tomorrow. im sorry about that, fingers crossed the next one sticks😊

we’re just going to baby dance every 3 days anyway and i’m tracking to see if ovulation actually happens this month! it’d be nice to pinpoint when ovulation happened so i don’t go insane with with the pregnancy tests 😅x

@ccl1 yes I did a test this morning and it was 0.3🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm not in fertile window yet according to my period tracker...
I've been drinking loads of water cos that's suppose to help conceive so maybe I'm diluting my wee I have no idea

Hahahha I preach that I hate how the tww makes me I'm literally crazy hahaha. I had weird dream last night that I'm pregnant I'd like to think that's a sign 😂😅

maybe you are diluting it, i think they work similar to pregnancy tests!

i had dreams that i was pregnant last month and i went to all the forums and of course other women said they dreamt they were pregnant and tested and got a positive test so i was testing every day expecting a positive test and i felt crazy 😂 x

@ccl1 I think because I took those pics that are a couple days old and posted them which is why it came back darker and the one I took and uploaded to the app today was the more accurate reading🤦🏻‍♀️ see I'm clueless hahha

oh okay! tbh i’m very clueless with it all too, all i know is the second line needs to be darker than the control so that’s all im looking for!

it’s a lot but im trying to stay consistent 😂 i had some fertility readings done at the end of january and 2 of them said id conceive in april so as long as i actually ovulate then i have high hopes! x

@ccl1 that's all I know also😂 I'm sure the line was darker this morning and it faded as it dried but nevermind 😂 yup consistency is key I don't think I'll test for ovulation till in fertile window but with taking maca I dunno if it'll delay or bring ovulation sooner we shall see.

hopefully you just have a normal ovulation! you should try get the tests with the faces as they’ll be far easier read.

i’ve literally just started bleeding there so i think im having another period, no ttc this month for me😩x

@ccl1 oh no! It could be hormone changes due to taking maca x

i think i must be irregular due to stopping birth control, it’ll probably take some time for my hormones to get regular. don’t know if i should restart maca to see if it helps my hormones! x

@ccl1 I mean that's what it's good for that's the reason I'm taking it bit of Tmi is it full blown period or spotting x

it’s only there when i wipe but bright pink so i’m not really sure if it’s spotting or another period coming on x

no it didn’t, was just some spotting! unfortunately we’re not trying this month as some other things came up but always next month! how are you getting on? x
