Thyroid Level- is 1.9 too low?

Hello,
Met with my IVF consultant in Dec ‘23 who advised my thyroid level was above optimal at 3.2. He placed me on levothyroxine. I also had an hycosy take place in December too. Not sure if it was the thyroid medication or hycosy but I fell pregnant for the first time after two years of TTC. Unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage which resulted in a MVA on 16th Feb. I’ve since been kicking myself for not going to GP and asking for advice in upping my dosage but thought I’d wait for midwife apt….

Last week I had to have a blood test to check the level as it was three months since I went onto the medication. I was advised by the nurse that the recent miscarriage wouldn’t impact the level. It is now 1.9. Is this now too low? Or actually it is just being below 2.5 good for fertility? I can’t find anything on google so hoping you amazing bunch can shed some light/ experiences!

Hey, I have been on the thyroid rollercoaster. When I say rollercoaster my TSH was 28! Unfortunately we found out after my first fresh transfer so don’t know if that’s the reason why it didn’t work.

For IVF you want your TSH to be below 2.5

yours is fine at 1.9 from everything I have learned.

The main thing is to test regularly as it can change.

The thyroid UK website states the following;

The British Thyroid Association Executive Committee state in their 2015 guidance, “Management of primary hypothyroidism” that, “The serum TSH reference range in pregnancy is 0.4–2.5 mU/l in the first trimester and 0.4–3.0 mU/l in the second and third trimesters or should be based on the trimester-specific reference range for the population if available.”

Hope that helps!
