I think I might have conceived naturally....

Hi guys.
I found out I had low AMH in October last year and had a cycle of IVF starting 27th of November. I had a cyst which needed aspirating at the start and due to my low OMH after stimulation, we only managed to get five eggs collected, these were fertilised using ICSI and of these fertilised eggs two made it through to day three embryos where they were then frozen. The doctors decided against fresh transfer. Due to the problems we had during stimulation, so thought it was better to leave the transfer until the next the next cycle which was to be the period after the period first comes. I had a relatively normal Christmas and had a period start on the 20th of December which was 11 days after a collection.
I have been waiting for my period to start to have blood tests and the scan to start preparing my uterus for embryo transfer. My cycles are normally around 25 days today I am 33. I thought that maybe the medication had stopped my ability to produce normal water hormones or something and it was just going to be delayed, but I picked up a test when I did my shopping earlier, and it was positive. I went back to the shop and got the clear blue digital one and another make. I did 5 tests in total. I've sent a message to my fertility doctor before I get too excited because I know that I've asked them can lead to false positive but my trigger shot was on the 8th of December so I think it might be too long ago to give a negative effect.
I had heard that I might be more fertile the month following stimulation, so we've taken advantage of that but honestly, this is the biggest shotgun surprise.
could it be wrong?

Wow, that must have been a surprise! I love hearing these miracle stories. Congratulations! A positive pregnancy and two embryos in the freezer :)

Can I ask, when you say low AMH, how low were your levels? I’m considering a round of icsi but not sure it’s worth it as I have low AMH too.

Congratulations 😍 that’s a very clear positive and definitely won’t be your trigger over a month later!

@AnnieStar12 my AMH is 5.1. What is yours? Where are you at with your journey?

@HopefulHead thank you so much, am in shock.

@californiacooper oh wow, thanks for sharing - that’s definitely given me some hope. Mine is 4.8 so pretty similar to you. Is your clinic NHS or private?

I’m really unsure whether it’s worth us trying a round of ICSI as I’ve been told that’s a very low level. We are currently doing IUI as a first step in the fertility world. It worked for us last year - we got pregnant but then I miscarried so we’re doing it again, but I’m trying to prepare myself for what to do next if that doesn’t work.

@AnnieStar12 I went to a clinic in Greece for private treatment. My NHS referral came through a few weeks ago and I had the initial zoom call. They sent me for AMH (I didn't tell them I already knew it was low and had it tested privately and went for trt abroad as I think they don't offer NHS trt in some places if you have had pvt) and I'm waiting for the appointment for my u/s scan.... i was expecting this to come through ready for after the transfer and likely BFN after it. They used ICSI as such low egg numbers. I asked about IUI but the dr said with low AMH he recommends getting straight into proper IVF.
Good luck with your treatment!
