HRT FET timeline query?

Hi,
im just wondering if my clinics timeline for a controlled FET is the norm as it seems that transfer will be late to me….

Prostap taken on 3rd January
Period started 12th January
Progynova (oestrogen) tablets start 20th Jan
Progesterone pessaries start on 1st Feb
Transfer 6th-8th Feb depending on lining thickness

I have 29 day cycles so my next period would be due to start on 10th Feb, so potentially we could be having the transfer 2 days before my next period due date which just seems late to me, I presumed it would be in line with a normal cycle - so 5 days after ovulation / day 19?

For context - this is our first controlled FET, did a natural previously that failed (I also felt this was done too late in my cycle as was on day 21/22), our Frosties are day 6 blasts but they did advise they are still treated as day 5 embryos as they were slow growers.

Just looking for reassurance that this is a normal timeline and the drugs will stop natural ovulation / period & any success stories of ‘late’ transfers. Just worrying that we will ‘waste’ another of our precious embryos if the clinic are getting the timings wrong :(

Hey. Your ovaries are shut down, you won't be ovulating and they can adapt your medication/ timeline according to your lining. It is not the same as a natural cycle when your body produces most of the hormones.
Usually the transfer takes places after 5 days of progesterone administration. The introduction of progesterone depends on the lining thickness.

Hey @Mistymist thank you for that 🥰
As I took the prostap on 3rd Jan, doesn’t that mean that my ovaries are only shut down until 3rd Jan, or does the estradiol & progesterone stop that too?

I took a different injection called Diphereline but the mechanism is the same. Basically it prevents the ovaries from releasing hormones for the following few months and therefore stops ovulation.
