Recommendations for clinics in Oxford?

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has recommendations for clinics in Oxford / surrounding area. Currently looking at Oxford TFP Fertility, Create (in Woodstock) and ORM (Oxford Reproductive Medicine) next to the JR. Tempted to go with ORM as it’s the closest and looks like it has the best live birth success rates, but it has no reviews online (whereas Create and Oxford Fertility have lots) so would love to hear about people’s experiences.

I should add that if I do go down the IVF route, I think Create do the egg retrieval / transfer in London and ORM do it in Bristol, so both would involve a little bit of travelling. Not sure if that’s an issue.

Hi,

I am with Create in Oxford. I chose them due to the many good reviews online.
The service has been good, however, I feel like we have had a lengthy amount of waiting time with back and forth tests. This hasn't been the case for all.
The costs also weren't clarified fully before treatment so we have had to pay additional costs which we weren't informed of prior to paying for the package.
I've had EC at the Birmingham clinic and Hysteroscopy at London clinic. The staff at both were very informative and friendly.

Hi @FMRBEC thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. That’s interesting to know about the wait time. I’m a teacher and so if I do end up going for IVF I will probably want to schedule it for school holidays, so won’t want to miss that window. I’m also tempted by Create because they offer mild / ‘natural’ IVF - I don’t yet know whether that will be appropriate me (my AMH and everything are fine, been ttc for a year and just been put down as unexplained infertility) - but it at least sounds like an intriguing option if you don’t have to pump yourself full of quite as many hormones…

Aww I'm a teacher too! Yes that's true. All the best for your journey!

I did initially plan for the holidays too. We joined at the beginning of summer holidays. But I didn't realise we would have to have quite a few tests before we could actually start due to my husbands low sperm count. So there was a waiting time for consultations for him and a lot of back and forth. Finally a year later, we started protocol for egg collection but then they noticed I had polyps so it had to be a freeze all cycle. I then had to wait for hysteroscopy and now I am hoping to start FET with my next period.

Hi @FMRBEC , how funny! Teaching is such a full on job that I just can’t imagine having to deal with all the injections and other things ivf involved whilst at school, but it does mean postponing until the summer, so we shall see! I’m sorry it’s taken you so long and been so much back and forth, a year seems like a really long time! Best of luck with your FET 🤞🤞🤞
