Thank U Reaction GIF by Mauro Gatti

Hey all, hoping to get some good advice on this. Basically hubby & I have been trying for 7 years I have endometriosis (was diagnosed 2 years ago). Have said that if nothing happens between now and end of year we will look into fertility even further, we have decided to go down the route of natural Fertility for serval reasons.

Anyway was looking to start in Jan 24’ and have been following/stalking the NFP program by Iva Keene, was extremely keen and pretty much set on her program but came across a thread as I haven’t heard much about her outside of testimonies from her program. The reviews were not great from this one thread which is very disappointing as I was really looking forward to starting her program, so because of this now I’m quite uncertain and don’t feel 100 per cent which brings me to the question. Does anyone know of any good NATURAL fertility programs for couples or coaching or clinics in the UK? Basically they focus on healing the body naturally so conception takes place, dealing with the root, advice on supplements, tailor made for the specific couple as opposed to just giving IVF as an option. It would be very helpful to have testimonies, stories.

sorry if I’ve rambled on and please respond.

Thanks so much in advance x

Hey!

So I tried 'natural' treatment for infertility and it did not work. To tell you the truth I was left feeling like it was all a big scam by the end of it.

I'm not sure of the lady you have mentioned, but I tried with one called Ingefleur who I found online. I was told to detox heavy metals and previous birth control and vaccines- along with a long list of vitamins. All of these detoxes were homeopathic and did absolutely nothing, it involved diluting small white pills in water.

At the end of the programme of treatment (3 months) I was offered a further course of treatment which cost £1500 per month!! I quickly gave up then.

My advice would be to do your own research- take coq10, a good prenatal, and eat a good balanced diet, but be realistic about how much natural 'medicine' can help. I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear but if you want to get pregnant, I personally feel your money would be best spent with doctors who are able to deliver researched and proven ways to treat infertility.

@Hopingforhappiness1 thanks so much for responding! That sounds awful and sounds to me like you were scammmed for sure even what you’re saying sounds off: S. I have never heard of the program that you spoke about. The program that I was looking into, have a money back guarantee within a month if you feel it is going nowhere or happen to fall pregnant during the program etc but the program is for 3 months- it is nowhere near £1500 per month!! in fact that sounds more than how much it is for the 3 months.

The joke is I have been to the doctors and they have not really offered much help. It has been continuous gaslighting and very slow responses because I’ve had to push an advocate for myself.

With regards to doing my own research. Funnily enough, I do take CoQ10 as a result of reading the book ‘it starts with the egg’ that book was really life changing. At the same time, I am currently seeing the doctors to check my bloods and other stuff, but I want to look into natural fertility, so that I can go back to my doctors and ask them to test me on certain things that unless I say to the doctor they wouldn’t do (if you know what I mean).

Thats the thing, of course pregnancy is the main goal but I also want my body to be in a good place in terms of health. For years I was fobbed off because of age and given contraceptives. I really want to look into root problems (if there are any) and heal my body naturally and I am willing to put in the work of cutting as much as I can but also knowing what supplements are best for my specific body not just something prescribed for everyone. Sorry if what I’m writing doesn’t make sense.

Yeah I totally understand you, it's the reason why I looked into it myself. Have always felt like there was a problem that wasn't diagnosed and never got anywhere with doctors- even now all they could offer as treatment was the pill which given we are TTC that's not an option.

I had read a book called 'the period repair manual' and it advocates for cutting out gluten and dairy. I've never managed to be strict enough with myself to do it- especially as I've never had any symptoms of intolerances, but perhaps something like that may work for you.

If you have time and are young enough, I don't see why the natural option isn't worth a try first.

Awww I’m so sorry that, that has been the case. I’ve cut dairy out but not been strict with gluten because I don’t have a lot of it I’ve really tried to strip down my diet and I really feel good too! I’m turned 32 2 months ago so not sure how young that is.

I will look into the book you spoke on. How’s it going for you?

@Happyclappy22 Hiya! Hope you're doing well!
I was researching Iva Keene online and found this thread. I'm now curious if you did go through with her programme and how did you find it.
I'm thinking of starting with her, but I feel I need to research a bit more as it's not the cheapest programme (as you mentioned yourself 😊).

Hey, I’m still currently lurking and have not gone through with her. I am currently seeing a local private Dr and getting tests done for hubby and I. She also does my acupuncture and is very knowledgeable. God willing I will stick with her, she’s very accessible and she’s in my opinion a cheaper alternative as she ain’t trying to get us to spend unecessary money on tests that are not helpful and she has advised using the NHS to get some test done and she’ll analyse the data. She also has already helped us with changing certain parts of our diet. Hope that helps and if you have anymore questions feel free to message me x
