I had them tested in Feb was 37. Will be 38 in nov. My amh was 60.im starting ivf before Christmas How quickly can amh decline and is my amh normal for my age. Should I have them rechecked or would 1 year make such a big difference or not ? What was your amh at this age.

60? Are you sure? Do you know if you have lots of follicles (and this potentially puts one at risk of OHSS)?

I am 35 and my AMH tested back in Jan 2023 was 4.1 - I was told it was low for my age.

60 sounds very high indeed. Mine was tested at 42 + 3m and came back at 14.9, which I was told was average, is it 60pmol or a different uint of measure perhaps? This table shows low and high by age range in pmol units.
Either way, even if it’s likely to drop a little I wouldn’t bother having it rested between now and November, however as per previous post if it really is that high your clinic will need to carefully manage and suggest the correct protocol for risk of ohss.

AMH can be measured in different ways. Speak to your clinic re what it means for you. There isn't much point testing more than annually, it fluctuates month to month anyway.

Yes I do have pcos which I believe from reading can cause lots of immature follicles. I was only recently diagnosed during my ttc journey.
Nobody has told me what's normal or not regarding amh so i felt confused. Consultation was extremely rushed , they wanted me in and out as there were other couples waiting and they were running late that day. They did briefly tell me I'll be doing a specific protocol to avoid ohss yes. Were awaiting next appointment to get our meds ect and to be given our treatment plan .
They told us it would probably be November when called which made me curious how quickly amh as they are deciding my treatment plan based on those results which in November will be 9 months old and I wondered if they would still be valid , if that's the correct plan for me. They also never explained to me if they was high normal low ect. I'm left to just figure it out by myself

Sorry to hear about the experience you have had @XStardustX

I think the POCS and your resulting v high AMH is unlikely to have changed much in 9 months (just as my low AMH is unlikely to have changed much in the last 9 months .. other than a slow gradual decrease perhaps). You will have to have a different protocol due to the OHSS risk so that is to be expected, however, you should be feeling so alone and confused! Doesnt soumd like your clinic are doing a good job of looking after you and your concerns. Can you go to a different one?

Take care; hang in there. This is a tough journey but thousands of us on it and mumsnet is a great place for support. Do ensure you are with a clinic where you feel good and well looked after (which helps a little bit on this v tough journey). x
