1st cycle with Argc 41 years old

Just completed a fresh cycle with Argc . Had 11 eggs, 8 fertilised and 5 got to blastocyst stage.

Had 3 embryos transfered and negative.

Hoping to have FET in September and wanted to know if anyone my age has had success or what to share their journey.

Been feeling so low and wanted to know any success stories ?

@rainbowhigh i went to ARGC. I did one normal cycle then did another duo stim cycle. I was on different dose of drugs each day but was given clomid and growth hormone. My duo stim cycle gave me 4 euploid embryos. I am now 42. I am looking to put them in next month xx

@Wildstarcan I ask you how this all went in the end? We have just had a failed FET of our only euploid embryo with ARGC and I’m feeling bereft. We did two ECs with them when I was 39, 32 eggs down to one PGTA embryo, then got accidentally pregnant with our daughter so have only just gone back for the embryo now (age 43) and it failed. We won’t do any more ivf (time and money and worries that it won’t work - though @Verygeri‘s story gives a lot of hope!!) so will just try naturally again. Despite 4 natural MCs. But curious if this worked out for you xx

My Duo-stim cycle gave me 4 euploid embryos, We put one in at Xmas 24, it didn’t take.

We decided to put another one in March 25, but my cytokines and nk cells were too raised so we cancelled the FET and I went on a treatment of steroids and interlipids to bring them. I then put a embryo in June 25.

It worked I’m currently pregnant and due to give birth early March : )

I really do believe the steroid Treatment and interlipids really helped the embryo take. As we didn’t do it for the one that failed in December 24.

I know how disheartening this can be, I’ve been there. But you may have a chance as I was 42 close to 43 when I had my duo stim cycle. And that gave me better embryos then I got at 40 and 41. Yes we spent all our savings but we wanted it so badly that we thought why not give it our last chance while we can.

Ive had a total of 5 rounds of ivf to conceive this child , duo-stim being two. Total of 6 if we include the first successful round with my first child. Most difficult thing I have ever done in my life , but I have no regrets.

Thanks so much for this @Wildstar💞 I actually started two rounds of DuoStim with ARGC after both egg collections but my estrogen skyrocketed so they had to cancel both, annoyingly. We really don’t have the cash or energy to explore any more IVF so are just going to crack on naturally and hope 🙏🏼 We have on miracle natural baby so surely can find one more in there! I’m so happy you got your two miracles xxxx

The first fet wasn’t successful and the second one took. I’m pregnant now and due to give birth early March : )

@Wildstar amazing! Do you think you'll use your remaining two euploids?

I am about the same age and also with 4 euploids. Starting transfers in April or May.

@sirensong omg I’m so happy for you !!! That’s great news : ) 4 euploids you have a good chance of having a baby. ❤️❤️

After 5 rounds of IVF for this pregnancy I feel very lucky we have two euploids left so yes we will be using both. I’ve always wanted a big family and I believe given the chance we are taking it and see whatever will be happen.

I think if you can try naturally I would defo go for it, my best friend has had both her children with natural pregnancy at ages 41and 43.

We tried 7 years naturally and we just couldn’t get pregnant. For us IVF was the only option. You got pregnant naturally!! Which is amazing : ) I really wish you the best of luck ❤️❤️

@Wildstar thank you so much, I really hope so. I cannot stop crying today but that’s probably the initial shock plus residual hormones. You’re so lucky to have got 4 euploid I’m so happy for you 🥰 I just wish our little one had stuck around 💔
