Only 4 follicles. Looking for success stories.

So I’m only 32 years old. AMH good / baseline scan looked normal. Been on stims for 10 days. Had my scan today and I only have 4 good sized follicles on the right. My left has not responded at all. No one can say why I’ve responded this poorly. I do have a cyst on each ovary but the clinic are adamant this has nothing to do with my poor response.

They said I needed 3 follicles to get to egg collection so it’s booked for Thursday.

I’m just feeling so hopeless about the whole thing. I keep seeing people with huge numbers. Surely with 4 follicles I have next to no chance.

Does anyone have any success stories to make me feel better?

Hi that's so amazing and lovely to hear as it gives hope. I had my transfer today please keep me in your thoughts. Also out of interest did your dr use an ultra sound and show you when where your embryo was transfered, did they have the ultra sound constantly showing what's happening while they were inserting it? Mine didn't do that and I was hoping they did , becauee now I'm stressed what if they haven't placed it properly and basically the dr just used measurements to put it in. Please pray for me all. And @Raleighx sending you lots of good wishes and good health through this beautiful time.

That's great news! Feels like such a milestone to get to transfer doesn't it? Wishing you all of the luck in the world. When is your test date? My transfer was ultrasound guided this time but the transfer that resulted in my Daughter wasn't! I remember worrying about that too at the time but it will be fine. They are the experts and they do SO many transfers that the placement will be accurate :-) Thank you for the well wishes!

My test date is 20th Aug, I am very scared its not worked I have no symptoms apart from slight sensation in one pelvic. Can I ask how thick your uterine lining was on embryo transfer day? I think mine was too thick so I can't imagine how thick it's got today for when I should be having implantation. It's such a stressful time .

@Haych88 good luck! would love an update :) did you get any frosties?

I didn't have a ton of symptoms if I'm honest. I had some period like cramps but that could have been down to the progesterone. I did have a feeling it had worked though as I felt so different and I would have been shocked to see a negative. Nausea is just starting to kick in now.

They didn't actually tell me how thick my lining was just that it looked good. Did they say they were concerned about the thickness?

Thanks @Raleighx for sharing your story and I hope you are keeping well 💕 I had my scan today and only 4 out of my 7 follicles are responding to stims (low AMH) but your post brings me hope - thanks again 😊 x

@bloss0mx aww I am thank you 🥰 currently 14 weeks! and no problem. I’m glad it gives you some hope. As they say it only takes one (cliche I know but so true! I used to roll my eyes when people said that to me) and quality over quantity. Keeping everything crossed for a good outcome for you 🤞🤞x
