I'm on day 80 of my cycle, 3 negative pregnancy tests, and been for an internal ultrasound and was told I have slight poly cystic ovaries. I'm waiting for an appointment with the go to discuss my scan further but who knows when that will be, so feeling stuck in limbo at the moment.

We would like to have a baby but not worried about it happening straight away. But I'm wondering how it works, what should I expect at the appointment?
Does my next cycle start once I've had a period?
Should I be testing every day for ovulation?
Should I be taking any supplements to help? (I've seen mention of omega 3 but I'm allergic to fish so already take flaxseed supplements so can't increase this).

Hi! Just wanted to pop in and send some love as all this fertility stuff is so hard. I can't answer most of your questions because really only your Drs/Nurses can do that and I'd hate to say anything that's incorrect.

But I did want to say that a very big percentage of the population has PCOS or PCO and don't have problem getting pregnant so please don't feel it is the be all and end all. I am in a same sex couple so we have had to undergo fertility treatment and I found out in a routine scan that I have mild polycystic ovaries (PCO) so no symptoms, I was absolutely shocked and devastated as I had no idea and thought it was going to be some horrible diagnosis. However when I'd calmed down enough and we FINALLY got our follow-up appointment, it turns out it's pretty common and if we hadn't had scans and were a hetero couple we might have conceived and I'd never know about it.

Also for those struggling with PCOS, fertility experts have A LOT of experience in working with this!! So please don't lose help, there a lots of people with PCOS who go on to conceive.

With regards to supplements specifically for PCOS, our Dr recommended Inafolic Alpha so you may want to google that.

Much love
