IVF and Ovarian Torsion Risk

Hi everyone, hoping this post is well placed in the Infertility topic…

does anyone have any information or NHS guideline info on ovarian torsion risk (or any other risks) and IVF, specifically around exercise?

My work involves a lot of brisk walking (30,000+ steps daily, most days) and I remember reading somewhere about ovarian torsion and increased risk with vigorous exercise. Obviously walking isn’t vigorous but other parts of my job include carrying heavy items/bending up and down a fair bit/getting in and our of vehicles.

I’m concerned this may have a negative effect on a) IVF success and b) IVF risks like torsion! It will be my first IVF cycle so it’s all new to me.

I have emailed my clinic but no reply yet so hopefully someone on here will have an idea!

thanks in advance x

I think if you're body is used to it it shouldnt be too bad. It appears to be more HIIT type exercises more than constant normal motion.

My clinic wouldn't tell me not to do running or gym but did say that it may prevent implantation.

If you can take it slower or easier then I'm sure you're fine. Better than putting your feet up and doing nothing. Ultimately you can do everything right and it still not work so don't try to change your life too much for it
