Where would I start seeking help?

Looking for some advice on what steps I should do to try and seek help as TTC isn't working for us. We've only be TTC for 6 months but I just have a feeling something isn't right.

We won't really be able to get much help on the NHS as we are trying for #2 so this is going to have to be funded by us.

I have stage 4 endo and fell pregnant last time straight after a big excision surgery. However my medical insurance no longer covers my endo and I really can't afford another £15k for the surgery privately again. I'm on the gynae wait list for the NHS but it's over a year until my appointment in June '24!

Any advice from all you incredible ladies as to what we should do/who we should see first?

I should add I have been tracking cycles and using BBT/OPKs and the SMEP.

I went straight to a fertility clinic (I also have endo) and had IVF. They can run some tests during the initial consultation (follicle count/AMH) which will at least give you an idea of how much time you have before needing to move to IVF. It turned out I did not have time to wait due to low egg reserve.

@Nicehotbath12 thanks so much for this! Can I ask how long you had been TTC before going to the fertility clinic?

@miniworry 3 years but I should have gone sooner. I went as soon as I found out I had endo. I think with known endo it would be a good idea to go after 6 months, they may even advise to carry on trying for another 6 months before doing anything but at least if you know how things are looking egg reserve wise you'll be better informed about making a decision to what to do next and when.
