his post is going to be all over the place but here we go:

I have had 4 Misscarriages and 1 successfully healthy pregnancy.

January 2023- coil removed
February- 4 day bleed
March- positive pregnancy test gradually got clearer but the day it was a BFP I began to bleed for 7 days!
April- BFP before missed period. Still ongoing

So I spoke with my GP who is under the impression it is the same March pregnancy, due to recurrent msc, I have been given 2x daily pressaries of progesterone!
Midwife rang today totally oblivious to my previous history, does not think it is the same pregnancy as I bled for 7 days and wanted to know the date of the bleed ( I guess for dates)

I thought I would be offered an extra scan as I normally msc. Between 6-8 week but it isn't discovered until my 12 week scan which means they've been gone a good few weeks, this meaning I have to go through the procedures to have them removed as my body just fails to realise what has happened.

Does anybody relate, any words of advice. I am under the gynaecologist for fertility issues, explains the pressaries. Why hadn't the midwife read my history. I'm totally baffled by the whole thing tbh and I feel like this one won't stick either.

Hi, I can totally relate. Sorry about the stress you are going through, pregnancy after loss is especially difficult.

After 3 miscarriages, the last of which a missed one discovered at 12 weeks scan and needing surgery, I was advised by a recurrent miscarriage consultant that if I contacted my local EPU upon my next pregnancy they’d have to scan me every two weeks from 6/7 as part of recurring MC support they offer.
Have you tried contacting EPU and explained or you only went through your midwife and GP? It may make a difference whether your previous losses were consecutive or not, not totally sure, but I was told after 3 you should definitely be able to get early viability scan and reassurance scans every two weeks.
Even so, I must admit they still made it quite difficult for me and tried putting me off being scanned every 2 weeks after the first one, but I’m glad I insisted and they had to oblige. Thing is, the NHS is so overstretched they try to avoid anything like that if they barely can get out of it.

Other option would be for you to get an early scan at a private place like I did with my 3rd pregnancy after two losses because the NHS wouldn’t offer me one, but that doesn’t come free and appreciate not everyone can afford that.

Were you referred to a recurrent miscarriage consultant after your 3rd loss? You can still ask for that now even if it wasn’t done at the time.

Take care x

Hi thanks for your reply and I am very sorry to hear that you can relate, I am under the gynaecologist yes. She is the one who has prescribed me the progesterone. With my successful pregnancy I must've spent £100s on scans just to ensure she stayed alive and growing. Maybe I'll have to do this again but I will definitely contact my EPU and tell them the situation and see what they say. I did mention it before I'm sure and was told they don't have the funding to offer scans for reassurance but it won't hurt to find out x thank you again for replying x
