@Ellenn ah that sounds difficult with the scan. Good idea to get a private one. Keep us posted.

IVFlife · 14/03/2024 16:24

Waiting for an update tomorrow. I'm so hopeful that our little 8 are doing well. I guess form tomorrow they are early embryos. We've never had embryos before and I'm so so hopeful.

Tonight I'm going to do some work and then watch the apprentice then off to bed.

Last update came fairly early in the morning so hoping that's the case again tomorrow. Its just via a portal message though so in a way that's good as no possibily for me to miss a phone call but also not sure how I feel about it just being a message! By this time tomorrow we will know.

2mumlife · 14/03/2024 16:35

@IVFlife Hope you can relax this evening and best of luck for tomorrow !

ivf24 · 14/03/2024 17:57

@IVFlife best of luck for tomorrow 🤞🏼

IVFlife · 14/03/2024 18:19

Thank you!

IVFlife · 15/03/2024 08:05

Woke up in the night anxious and then this morning I feel so nervous. I think because we've never got to transfer before it's so hard to see it happening this time. Even though completely different eggs

IVFlife · 15/03/2024 13:54

All 8 are still growing.
6 are good quality.
7th one is right cell size but doesn't look as good.
8th is slow growing is only 3 cells and should be 6-9 but it might catch up
So all 8 still in with a chance.
Transfer booked for early Sunday morning !

JulesIVF · 16/03/2024 10:48

Hi! Just jumping in if that’s okay. Got my first transfer (FET) coming up on Friday at GCRM.

IVFlife · 16/03/2024 11:08

Hey Jules glad you found us @JulesIVF

2mumlife · 16/03/2024 16:13

@IVFlife That’s good that 6 are looking really positive. Best of luck for your transfer tomorrow! How are you feeling?

IVFlife · 16/03/2024 16:57

We've had really bad news today.. utterly devastated and have to now make some incredibly difficult decisions

ivf24 · 16/03/2024 17:46

Oh no! Hope you’re ok @IVFlife 😘

ivf24 · 16/03/2024 17:46

Welcome @JulesIVF

JulesIVF · 16/03/2024 17:54

@IVFlife sorry to hear that, hope you’re okay 🥺. Is your transfer still possible?

Eiremogra · 16/03/2024 21:12

@IVFlife so sorry to hear this. I take it whatever decision you have to make is time sensitive? Sending you love x

2mumlife · 17/03/2024 16:46

@IVFlife Oh gosh, hope whatever has happened you’re ok x

ivf24 · 18/03/2024 15:06

Hope everyone is doing ok. I had my lining scan this morning. 3 hour drive for a 10 minute appointment - bonkers! Lining is 7.5mm and a nice triple layer. Transfer will be next Thursday which is later than I thought it would be but never mind.

2mumlife · 18/03/2024 16:04

@ivf24 Oh geez that’s mad isn’t it for a 10 min appointment! The downside of rural life. Great news your lining is looking good. Does seem quite awhile until the transfer? Normally once your lining is good it’s only 6 days or so. Wonder if they just don’t have space to do a transfer until next Thursday? At least you have time to plan. Keeping everything crossed!

ivf24 · 18/03/2024 18:27

Yeah it’s crazy! 3 hours there and 3 hours back. Frustrating that NHS Highland don’t have any fertility services. Yes it is because there is no space until next Thursday.

2mumlife · 18/03/2024 18:43

@ivf24 Can’t imagine how frustrating it must feel to do that long a trip. A satellite clinic would make such a difference for monitoring

JulesIVF · 20/03/2024 15:18

Hi all,

Has anyone used embryo glue before?
The clinic just called to say that we are in at 11:30 on Friday and asked if we wanted to use embryo glue. It’s £200 extra. She said they don’t recommend it to people because there’s no data that it helps.

2mumlife · 20/03/2024 16:50

@JulesIVF Hey, I used embryo glue on my 2 FETs that were successful and not on my unsuccessful fresh or FET. We didn’t have to pay extra though.

2mumlife · 20/03/2024 16:52

I also agree evidence is mixed which is why we didn’t used it on first 2 transfers but said yes on the third transfer as also didn’t see harm in it. Used it for most recent transfer because I wanted to do the same as worked on my cycle with DD :)

JulesIVF · 20/03/2024 17:25

Thank you @2mumlife . I’m sure it is included in our access fertility package so I have emailed access to check. GCRM have recently changed their agreement with Access and said that I need to pay, but I signed up back in October and remember it was included. Anyway, GCRM said that if access confirms this they will honour it and not charge us.

2mumlife · 20/03/2024 19:09

@JulesIVF We were with GCRM - cycle with my DD was part of access fertility and was included. Most recent round though we paid gcrm direct for FET but was also included. Hopefully can use it if you want to give it a try
