Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same/similar as us and has any advice or even success stories to share please.

Both early 30s, TTC 4.5 years, Started IVF and have had 3 FETs resulting in 2 miscarriages (5 & 7 weeks) and 1 implantation failure.

Feeling deflated, to put it mildly! We have more frozen embryos but as the last 3 tries have failed, I’m concerned about our next attempt and feel like there must be something wrong with me although there are no obvious issues.

Any advice or similar experience stories would be much appreciated! TIA ☺️

Try genetic testing the embryos. I know of people who do this when they have miscarriage; helps find out if any the remaining frozen embryos from the batch are viable ones genetically (I have heard of a lasy who found out they weren't, if not for which, she would have kept trying with the frozen ones from that round and had more and more miscarriages. The knowledge helped her decide to ditch that whole batch and try another round; she did genetic testing on the second round as well this time and found it was a genetically good batch and went on to have a baby from a FET from that batch).

@Sbl1 Hi there,
I've also had several rounds of IVF, 2 collections, 3 transfers. First ended in a miscarriage and other 2 ended in no implantation even though we transferred 2 really good embryos on our last cycle. We have 3 frozen embryos but I'm reluctant to continue the same process incase of failure again. I will be discussing options on our next call with our doctor but I'm NHS so unsure what they will offer or what is available to us.

Any suggestions from anyone on what to try next time would be much appreciated :)

Thanks. I have started looking into genetic testing but as we have 10 embryos left, it’s going to super expensive. Which I know will hopefully be worth it in the end, but that plus future transfers is just a lot!
I should say that we went private as we weren’t willing to wait the length NHS times (if we waited, we still wouldn’t have been seen by them now!) but we’re by no means well off.
There’s just so much to consider, it’s very overwhelming! Xx

It’s so frustrating isn’t it 😔 almost all of our embryos are good quality too (grade A) so it’s so disappointing when they don’t take as you start thinking you’re the problem.
We’ve just been offered anti body testing which apparently will identify if I have anything that is attacking the embryos (I think!…I need to look into it further) so that’s maybe something to ask your clinic about?
Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sorry to hear of your previous miscarriages I'm currently in the TWW with embryo 4. My first two were miscarriages at 5 & 9 weeks so I was referred to Professor Quenby at Tommys for recurrent miscarriages. I had some bloods done which found that I had a blood clotting disorder which was the probable cause of my miscarriages. I was advised certain meds which I took for embryo no3 and pregnancy was going well but unfortunately they had a syndrome not compatible with life so we had to end the pregnancy at 16 weeks. So asking for a referral for tests could be an option for you.
