Using multiple IVF clinics - thoughts?

Hi - I want to freeze eggs/embryos and will probably do 3 freezing cycles, hopefully all this hear.

As it's so hard to decide which IVF provider to go with, I was wondering if I could have each of my freezing cycles at a different clinic. The idea would be to increase my chances of success by putting my eggs in 3 baskets instead of 1.

Does anybody have any thoughts or experience of this approach?

Thanks

The problem with this plan is that is isn’t that easy to predict how you will respond to stims. They will look at all your test results and recommend a protocol based on that. However for subsequent cycles they will use the response/results from your first cycle to tweak your medication or protocol in the hope of getting better responses. If you move clinics then they won’t have access to all the data from previous cycles so they will be starting from scratch each time.

Finding out what freezing method they use is easier and more reasonable. In case all clinics use same method, 3-backet method, I am afraid, won't work out.

Hi @rihanna4 I would have thought you could ask for them to send over the full details of the protocol you used (or indeed you could just remember it and tell them!) in between clinics, but I'm not really clear on what you're hoping to achieve? They will be broadly the same protocol (if freezing then it'll be a short protocol and stims based on your AMH/AFC/hormone levels and other info). Perhaps if you clarify what your concerns are/what you're choosing between different clinics for then we could help more?

@blacksnow I think all IVF clinics now use the fast freezing technique don't they? Or is that just egg freezing? I have done egg freezing and all those I researched used the faster/newer method of quick freezing...can't recall what it's called but it was the same
