Hi! I'm currently undergoing investigations for my recurrent miscarriages. I had a scan on day 15 of my cycle - around ovulation time - and I just found out that the lining of my uterus measured 4.6mm on that day. Consultant didn't mention this to me at all in person but it was in my notes that this was 'a bit thin' but given I've conceived many times before didn't consider it a problem.
I'm not sure what to make of this! It's my understanding that the endometrium should have been somewhere around 10mm at that point of my cycle, and while a thin uterus lining might prevent conception it can also lead to early losses. I'm meant to take progesterone pessaries when I'm pg for exactly that reason so I'm surprised he never said anything about it. I don't know when I'm going to see the consultant again to discuss all this and besides feel very in the dark about it all - generally feeling that the attitude is that I don't need to understand any of this, just let him treat it.
Anyway, I guess I just want a bit of guidance from anyone else who might know more. I just want to understand what's going on and what I can do to improve my chances.
