Being active after embryo transfer / No implantation cramps

Good morning! I had my 6th transfer on Tuesday with 2 x 5bb "hatching blastocysts", after miscarrying after the last transfer. I had taken the week off work to rest up, but on the day after the transfer- I invited my best friend and her kids round for a birthday lunch. It ended up being extremely rushy and pretty stressful as I set myself an unrealistic amount of things to do in very short window, with lots of rushing around, some lifting of heavy shopping etc (realise this is very first world stress!). I am now stressing out that I have threatened the implantation of the embryos. Also, at this point on my last transfer, I was having implantation cramps - and now I feel nothing and tempted to make a call that it hasn't worked. Has anyone had implantation cramps with one pregnancy but not with another? Any words of wisdom, experience or reassurance on either front would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!

Firstly, sorry to hear about your last miscarriage @GoldJules.

Please don’t lose hope. I had a really stressful afternoon the day after transfer and convinced myself implantation would have been impossible, but I’m now 14 weeks. We’ve experienced secondary infertility. The day after transfer my husband and I took our daughter to the park to use her new scooter. I had visions of this being really relaxing, but my husband had to go back home for the forgotten scooter helmet and my daughter had the biggest meltdown. I ended up pulling her around on the scooter, whilst she cried and I nearly cried. We all then went to the supermarket where she had another full-on meltdown. It was all so stressful and I was sure the transfer couldn’t work.

I also had no implantation cramps with this pregnancy. In fact at 14 weeks, I’ve had very few pains or stretching in my tummy. With my daughter and the miscarriages I’ve had, I had implantation cramps every time. Every pregnancy is different.

One thing I found really useful was acupuncture on day 3 post transfer. It really calmed my nerves.

Wishing you the best of luck. It sounds like you’ve been through a-lot.

@ForestThrills thank you so much for this. It’s so reassuring to read. I mean - I can rationally see that these things wouldn’t have an impact on implantation, but I’m so conscious of not wanting to do anything that would jeopardise it. It’s so reassuring to read your words. And also about the implantation cramps -very good to read that you had them previously but not with this pregnancy. Thanks so so much for responding! I’m not feeling anything at the moment but it’s early days xx
