PCOS TTC - Loci Trial NHS

hello,
my husband and I have been trying to conceive for around two years. The contraceptive pill I was on meant I didn’t have a period at all for around 7 years. I stopped my contraceptive pill and my period never returned.
I was initially told to wait it out before investigations could happen. I waited 8 months to be tested for PCOS which confirmed.
Then in June 2022 just before our wedding while waiting for our fertility appointment we experienced an early miscarriage.
I had my appointment in September for the fertility clinic and was told that I would not beable to receive treatment until my BMI was under 35.
Ive lost 2 stone and my BMI is now under 35, I phoned this week to let them know. The only treatment available to me just now is the LOCI trail. Has anyone been on this trail? It hard to find information about it.

If you Google 'LOCI trial' there is lots of information. There is even a twitter account. It is across 47 hospitals, and the protocols differ slightly so look for one in your trust.

Hi has anyone else struggled with swallowing the tablets any suggestions

@H30 I struggled taking the Letrozole/Clomifene tablets most of the times I felt like throwing them up. What helped was remembering why I was taking the medication in the first place. Those tablets are so huge, I had never seen anything like them.

The Metformin/Placebo were easy to take but it always made me feel like crap. Mostly in the evenings. It did not matter if I took it with food or after food. I would just comfort myself by thinking about a positive outcome at the end of it all.

I could not wait to get off the Metformin/Placebo once I became pregnant. As soon as I was in my 14th week of gestation, I took my last tablet with joy. I think my body still needs to flash it out of my system or now its just pregnancy hormones. Not sure.

Alhamdulillah I am now 16 weeks pregnant.
