Hi , I have had 6 losses all at 5-6 weeks . I have had ultrasounds saying I have heart shaped uterus , doctors saying from arcuate , bicornuate , they not sure . Can this cause early misscarriges !? I thought it only causes problems in later pregnancy ?
I also have a smallish polyp in one of the horns so I don’t know if that would affect pregnancy ? Pls help me out girls xxx what do you think ? Also all blood tests are perfect ! Including genetics . X

Ugh so sorry you’re going through this.

I would get your uterus looked at properly to determine what shape you actually have - this is impossible to tell from a regular scan. A septate/sub septate uterus can be associated with early miscarriage, although data in this area is really limited. If you turn out to have a septum, they might look at resecting it, given the number of miscarriages, and the polyp too. Bicornuate is associated generally with different/later complications. But again, so little is known about these conditions.

I have a sub septate uterus and found advice varies hugely depending on the individual doctor, but you’ve been through so many losses it seems like it’s time to look into this and do everything possible to make sure you don’t have to keep miscarrying.

You need and deserve thorough, compassionate care. Get a good specialist if possible xx
