Progesterone level on day of transfer

Hi ladies, I'm preparing for my next FET and trying to sort through all my worries about what might have gone wrong before. On the day of my last embryo transfer (which was unsuccessful) my progesterone level was apparently 25, which my doctor said is fine. I'm doing medicated cycles so my body isn't making any progesterone itself, I'm relying on the medication, which is Utrogestan taken vaginally 3x per day. I've read that some women don't absorb enough from the pessaries so am worried about that. I know I should just trust my doctor that my level was fine, but I like to do my own research for reassurance and I haven't been able to find anything about whether 25 is ok. If anyone knows anything about this I would be grateful for any advice 🙏

25 is actually very low. If you tested your progesterone 7 days after ovulation on a natural cycle and it was under 30, there would be questions as to whether or not you’d ovulated. My clinic likes it to be over 100 on transfer day (although personally, I think that’s TOO high).

For my only successful transfer, mine was about 44 on transfer day x

@grcrobbo thank you so much for replying. Do you mind if I ask what progesterone medication you were taking?x

Hi, it was a fully medicated cycle and I was on 3 types of progesterone - utrogestan, crinone gel, and lentogest (intramuscular injection). X

@grcrobbo thank you so much. I'm feeling really disheartened now about my next transfer. My consultant says he was looking for my progesterone to be over 20, so 25 is fine, and because I didn't bleed before my OTD, that means it's enough. From what I've read of people's experiences on here, clinics seem to vary in what they want it to be, whether that's over 30, 50 or 100. All of them seem to be higher than what mine requires. I already feel like my next transfer is going to fail, before we've even started 😔

Do you have extra that you can take rectally? That seems to boost it quite a bit for some people. There are several on my previous post that did the suppositories both vaginally and rectally and their numbers went up quite a bit after the introduction of rectal.

@Rtmhwales is it cyclogest that you can take rectally? I've had three unsuccessful transfers and for all three I was prescribed 3x Utrogestan, which I think can only be taken vaginally. The third transfer is the only one where I had my progesterone tested on transfer day.
