Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this and had a good outcome? I've been having BFP since 6DP5DT and the line this morning was dark. Since this evening I've been having red/brown spotting and lower abdo and back cramps. I just did another test and it's still positive but I can't settle myself. My OTD is Sunday but I stupidly tested early. I've attached pics of todays tests to show. Thanks x

@SarahC1985 Not ectopic. It was still very early so we didn't see everything but there was an embryonic sac, yolk sac and a flicker of a heart beat. We couldn't see the fetal pole as it was too small and behind the yolk sac but it must be there as there was a heart beat. So I feel better.

I also finally looked at my blood results from Wednesday and they are fine.

No idea if this will work out but we're on a better path than with my losses at least.

How are you today?

SarahC1985 · 23/09/2022 15:04

@Janefx40 that's amazing news!!! I'm so happy for you! I didn't see a heartbeat at mine so that's so reassuring for you xx

@SarahC1985 thank you! You were only 5+4 at your scan on Tuesday I think. I've had scans then too and just seen yolk sac. I was 5+6 today. We actually couldn't see the fetal pole either as I said.

I feel better because with my miscarriage there were a few markers that aren't there this time. I'm far from believing that this is going to work out but I feel like we have passed a massive milestone.

I was due to have this private scan on Sunday but am going to try to push it back a few days. I'm just not sure Sunday is far enough away to see much difference.

@Janefx40 I feel the same. People say 'congrats you're pregnant!' And my answer is always 'for now'. I can't get excited. My acupuncturist said take it each day. For today, we are pregnant. And we are one more day pregnant than yesterday. And as each day goes on, the risk of miscarriage decreases. So we should try to enjoy these small moments and I am trying to do that x

Just updating for anyone following the thread. I'm currently 6+5 weeks and had a scan today where they saw the heartbeat so everything is going as planned x

@SarahC1985 congrats Sarah. That's great news. I have a scan this evening at 6+3. Really nervous.

SarahC1985 · 27/09/2022 21:15

@Janefx40 how did it go?x

@SarahC1985 mixed. All fine but they measured the CRL and said dated me as 6+1 when I am 6+3. But then with my DD I was scanned at 6+1 and she measured on track but was significantly smaller. So am not sure what to think. 2 days leeway is kind of ok but with IVF you generally want to be on track. So I don't feel very reassured to be honest. Will be bricking it for my 8 week scan x

SarahC1985 · 27/09/2022 23:05

@Janefx40 mine was 2 days out too! It's just because it's hard to get an accurate measurement at this stage. It's so early. Try not to worry xx

@SarahC1985 thank you! I always tell other people that 2 days out is fine but I would have been so much happier if it had been on track.

But yes I must just try to believe xxx

SarahC1985 · 28/09/2022 13:54

@Janefx40 the measurements are difficult. Try not to fret x

Glad I found this thread. I’m 8dp5dt and just started spotting. Haven’t been brave enough to test at all yet, struggling to leave the hope bubble but got a dreadful fright when I saw the spotting and it has really panicked me. How common can it be..It’s my first FET and I truly have no idea how to cope with a failure after so much pain and effort already! It’s all so traumatising. Reading your good news has given me a little hope back.

Janefx40 · 28/09/2022 15:21

Hi @Terfm Those last few days before testing are the worst. It's just the absolute hardest bit of the process.

Spotting doesn't really mean anything either good or bad. To be honest I don't really think there's any way of knowing without testing. I got totally blindsided this cycle as I thought I knew it all and was sure it was negative but was wrong.

When is your test day?

Terfm · 28/09/2022 16:08

Thanks for the response and the reassurance. It’s on Friday but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to hold out for that long now, might just have to put myself out of my misery and test tomorrow morning!

SarahC1985 · 28/09/2022 16:10

Hi @Terfm and welcome. As you can see, spotting can be normal and very common. My bleeding was quite heavy and fresh red so I did end up ringing my early pregnancy unit. Don't hesitate to contact them if you are concerned. I also had cramping and back pain so I really did think the worst
