What are the next steps after 2 miscarriages?

Late thirties, have a child already and have had two consecutive miscarriages. Is it only after 3 miscarriages the NHS will investigate? Should I see a fertility specialist or gynaecologist privately? When are you considered for IVF with the NHS? Have no idea what to do now

No idea about the NHS but I would just keep trying. I had 4 between my two children
(8, 9, 12 and 20 weeks). Utterly awful and devastating but you've gotta keep positive and hope one sticks.
Fingers crossed you.

I'm sorry for your losses. You might not be eligible for IVF on the NHS if you already have a child, so you might want to check your local trust's guidelines and then consider going privately if needed.

NHS requires 3 miscarriages in a row to investigate. Most trusts will only offer fertility care if you have no living child. So unfortunately I think you will need to contact private clinics @AbsolutelyMarvin

I've had 2 consecutive miscarriages through IVF and my IVF consultant asked me to go to my GP and ask for a recurrent miscarriage referral and he done it for me. I had a telephone appointment and blood tests which came back with a blood clotting disorder and I'm not in the very early stages of my third IVF pregnancy. It all happens quickly as my last miscarriage was in June, my telephone appointment and blood were late June and I now have a plan for this pregnancy. I'd ask your GP there is no harm in asking.
