Hi..I transferred 4aa embryo first and it ended in chemical within 2 days after showing BFP. Second embryo transfer 4ab was BFN. I have remaining 4bb and 4bc. I am planning to transfer both and I don't want to do PGS now for those 2 embryos at this stage as it is already frozen (though it is technically possible to do). I am not sure if my thinking is correct. Need some advice pls.

Sorry about your chemical and BFN. Were you being closely monitored? Is your protocol changing? That’s the first thing I’d be querying.

I did PGT-A because of my age, multiple miscarriages, and we know at least one of those losses was down to a chromosomal abnormality. In your situation I’d probably transfer the final two after reviewing protocol then, if it doesn’t work out, have another round with PGT-A. But only you can decide what’s best.

Appreciate how tricky it can be to make these calls 💛

Sorry to hear you haven’t had success. We’ve had a long journey (transferred 4BA, 3x 3BB resulting in one viable healthy boy who passed away late in pregnancy due to placental blood clots). Since then, we’ve done one FET of a 4BB and it ended in a chemical. Now we’re looking to transfer 2x 4BC next month.

After this, we’ll need to do another cycle if things don’t work out. We’re 36 now and hoping we can fit another cycle in before the end of the year if needed. I believe the average live birth rate of a BB grade is 30-35 percent whereas BC is 25-30 percent. I was given a 20-25 percent chance of a twin pregnancy. Embryos frozen age 35.

I personally wouldn’t thaw to test then re-freeze due to possible risks to the embryo. I’d go ahead with the double transfer as you suggested. However our clinic charges 3k for testing so that is a factor! it would be a lot of money for a couple of embryos

All the best for your next transfer 🤞xx

@MyEasterEggs - Thanks for your reply. I am 36 and have endometriosis. We didn't change anything majorly for the 2 transfers. We followed the same protocol and meds. Daily I took 3 progynova and 2 lubion sc inj and 3 cyclogest. After transfer i was taking baby aspirin. My progesterone was around 51 on the day of my transfer and my doctor said it should be around 75 - 100 nmol/l. So my progesterone dose was increased. 5 days after transfer it increased to 85 nmol/l. My doctor feels it could be the embryo quality as my endometrium thickness was good and recommends for pgs. Now I am not sure whether its the embryo quality or the progesterone levels or any other factor?

@MrsC2019 Sorry for your losses.. All the best for your next transfer 💛
I was exactly thinking the same. I didn't want to thaw and refreeze which might damage the embryos. Instead, thought I should go with 2 next time. Praying harder 🙏

Have you had any other tests? Vaginal Ecologix? EndomeTRIO? Immunology? It may be worth chatting to the clinic and ruling out other potential issues before a transfer. But not all clinics believe in these tests.

And if you do have another fresh round I’d consider Sperm DNA testing and a semen culture for your partner if you haven’t done so already. My partner’s basic semen analysis was normal but he actually had a hidden infection that was impacting his sperm.

Hope this is helpful and not too overwhelming to take on board 💛

Hi I'm 45 and have just had a failed embryo transfer! I'm getting anxiety because I want to try out another clinic but not sure which clinics will take a 45 year old - all my AMHS/FSH were very high, womb lining was high - we transfer a 4a and 3b blastocyst - which again we were told was good. My husband is 34 so I'm hoping his young genes will also boost us. Our surgeon recommended pgs this time and getting going asap - but we a few months to save the extra money and time is against us. Ah I'm so tired

@MyEasterEggs nope doctor hasn't planned for any tests as he says some of the tests are not proven ones. May be we should consider for all these assessments if we consider doing another round. Thanks for your suggestions. Very useful 💛
