Hi me and partner have been trying to conceive . I've been tracking my LH and BT and it said I should have ovulated between 4th and 6th august . Today I had some twinging in my right hand side , about 4 small pulses then it stopped I then had some a small amount of bleeding when I then went for a wee . Is this ovulation bleeding ? As I've not had any luck with conceiving and I've never had this before .

It could be implantation bleeding if you conceived yesterday. I have never heard of ovulation bleeding.

So if an egg was released yesterday and we conceived it would be implantation bleeding already ?

It's usually a day later but if it was later that day yes :)

Hi @Clo3xox sorry to disappoint but that would be too early for implantation bleeding. Once an egg is released, if it’s fertilised it usually takes about 5 days for it to develop into a blastocyst and then start to implant in the uterus. One day after an egg being released, and assuming it has been fertilised it’s still just a few cells. There are quite a few resources around that can explain that timing if you want to have a look at what happens day by day. Sorry not to be more positive but I hope it helps to have realistic expectations.

I kind of knew it would be too early for implantation bleeding , I have had a few people tell me they bled a little when their egg was released so I'm not sure if it would be that as it wasn't a lot of blood

Implantation doesn't occur a day after conception. It takes the embryo/morula around six days to travel down the Fallopian tube and burrow into the endometrial lining.

I get ovulation bleeding and was worried so went to doctor. Its from hormone shift on ovulation. I erroneously thought it was blood from the expelled corpus luteum but that fluid just goes into pelvis and causes the mild tender pain some women, including me, get - called middelschmertz. It has no way of travelling down fallopian tube into uterus so the blood is a slight shed from uterus caused by hormones.

May be good to get 21 days bloods done, as I did and although I ovulate I have the beginnings of falling progesterone. This isn't an issue for me as I'm doing IVF due to male factor so I'll be given progesterone suppositories but good to check if you have any spotting outside of period during your cycle.

As previous poster said its not possible to implant one day past ovulation, usually between day 6 and 10 by the time the blastocyst enters the uterus :)
