Oh wow that’s great news @OrangeBengal !!! So happy to read this.

@Loz2467 like @seven201 says you cannot tell much about the lining once progesterone rising as it compacts etc. I believe they only usually will advise TRIO if you’ve had recurrent implantation failure or recurrent miscarriages.

seven201 · 28/10/2022 18:55

@OrangeBengal amazing news!!

OrangeBengal · 28/10/2022 19:06

@Enfys23 @seven201 thanks both! We haven’t celebrated yet, but will start to enjoy it now.

@Loz2467 if you get to a point where you need one or more of the TRIO and you’re likely be having a medicated cycle I recommend doing all three. We were told we didn’t need the ERA only to go back and do it later at almost the same cost, it’s generally cheaper to do it in one go.

Janefx40 · 28/10/2022 22:51

@VenusStarr I've had various amounts of bleeding and spotting after ECs. I'd say like others that a small amount of brown is fine. To be honest I think any amount of spotting is fine whatever colour. There's been a lot of poking around in there so a bit of disturbance is to be expected.

Good luck tomorrow 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@seven201 I'm sorry the lines hasn't got darker yet. I will still hold out hope for you. Hope trampoline park was fun.

@Enfys23 I get stims via the clinic usually for the convenience and actually the prices were quite good but Lubion is the one to watch. It is £57 for a box of 7 at ASDA and my clinic and their provider charge £126 per box. Lubion is the one worth chasing. Cyclogest etc tend to be cheap anyway. Asda have got more used to ordering it over the past couple of years as it has become more widely used.

@OrangeBengal that is great news. I'm so happy for you. Hope you can start believing.

Janefx40 · 28/10/2022 23:00

@Loz2467 good luck with your scan on Monday. It's always a nervous thing but these tests are really just a guideline to where you are up to. They don't mean that it will or won't work. As others have said, I only did the ERA, EMMA, Alice after several cycles (and in my case because they were my last ever embryos) x

Enfys23 · 29/10/2022 06:37

Thinking of you today @VenusStarr

Enfys23 · 29/10/2022 06:39

Really hoping better news than expected @seven201 and sending love 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

seven201 · 29/10/2022 08:44

Good luck @VenusStarr

My test is negative. If you squint under the right light you can just about see something but I think I'm just seeing where the line should be. My problem is I don't know how to stop the prednisolone? With my least FET I was pregnant for a short while so on pred for longer and needed to taper down the doses over a couple of weeks. I read elsewhere someone mentioning if you're not on it for long you can just stop. Anyone know? I guess I can just stop the cyclogest. I did email CRP yesterday morning but no reply. I'm not in the mood for calling them, but have sent another email.

I'll pick myself up and try again next month. I have one embryo left so think I might get stuff in place for using that early 2023. That feels quite final though!

VenusStarr · 29/10/2022 08:56

Not good news this morning 😪 the best looking one is still a morula so they've recommended thawing the frostie. Which we're doing. Then they'll watch til tomorrow if it makes a blast.
If the frostie doesn't survive, we'll just put the morula back in.

I have zero hope for this working out.

@seven201 I'm sorry 😞 you can just stop the extra meds now. I think its only after 4 weeks you'd wean off pred. X

seven201 · 29/10/2022 09:02

@VenusStarr oh gosh! I'm so sorry. Could you potentially put both in tomorrow? Hope isn't lost yet.

Thank you for the pred info.

VenusStarr · 29/10/2022 09:24

I don't think tomorrow would be right for the frozen one as its a day 5 and I triggered a week ago @seven201 I'm already worried about the window because I ovulated one follicle before collection 😪

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 29/10/2022 09:32

@VenusStarr I'm sorry it isn't better news. You could transfer the morula today with the frostie. I know I've said it a million times but my DD was a morula transferred as a morula fresh on day 5. At the time I thought it was a miracle she made it but actually there is quite a good rate of morulas or day 6s being successful. I am still going to hold out hope for you even if you don't have it yourself x

@seven201 I'm sorry. Of course there is still a tiny possibility so personally I would keep taking the cyclogest until Monday when you can talk to CRP. They told me that I didn't have to wean off pred unless I'd been on it longer than 2 weeks. Sending love xxx

seven201 · 29/10/2022 09:44

@VenusStarr sorry I misread and thought your transfer was being moved to tomorrow. Everything crossed your frozen one warms up smoothly.

@Janefx40 thank you. Good idea.

OrangeBengal · 29/10/2022 09:46

So sorry @seven201 and @VenusStarr. My next plan of attack if this cycle hadn’t worked would have been to transfer a day 3 with my last frostie as I read this article - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8083859/ - that looked really interesting, especially for unexplained cases. I know that at morula is not a day 3 but might be worth a try?!

Enfys23 · 29/10/2022 10:14

I’m sorry to hear this @VenusStarr but there is still hope. Crossing fingers the frostie defrosts well for you. @Janefx40 is right there’s still hope for the morula stage embryo and maybe worth asking about transferring it too.

I definitely agree with @Janefx40 though I know it sucks to continue meds @seven201 and be reminded of it all for another couple of days better safe than sorry. Sending hugs

2021ivfagain · 29/10/2022 12:20

@IVF22

Sorry I’m catching up with the thread as I’m doing mock cycle this month with Emma, Alice, nk cells and era. My consultant was not bothered about doing it at first but not I only have 7 day 3 embryos left so he advised it. Sorry your consultant is not.

Just want to let you know Invivo are good but it takes 21 workings days at least for the result to come back and a nutritionist will need to interpret the report for you and recommend any supplements if required.

I had gardnerella twice and had to take metronidazole twice. I think also what worked was canesbalance which I took for at least 7 days after metronidazole second time then canesflor for 10 days. Whilst doing this, I took kefir and an oral probiotic with lactobacillus crispatus. I made sure I spaced it out so left 3 hours apart the antibiotics and probiotics. @Gardenlady543 gave me a lot of good advice.

The nk cells can only be detected with a blood test as that is what I am doing this month. I did get pregnant before and have a son who is 22 months old but things can change. Could you get the blood test elsewhere?

2021ivfagain · 29/10/2022 12:29

@VenusStarr

I’m sorry to hear this. As you know, I had two day 6 blastocysts which were of poor quality but if your morula is not fragmented they could also transfer it.

I know how difficult it can be. I was in a mess earlier this month.

It’s good you have a frozen embryo ready to go. I know you’re anxious about freezing and refreezing as I have been too but you do have a chance.

I only have 7 day 3 embryos frozen left. I’m really hoping I get two or three blastocysts but not doing testing.

Are you transferring today?

VenusStarr · 29/10/2022 12:55

Thanks all.

It got worse 💔 We gave consent to defrost the frozen one. By the time we got there it had degenerated and wasn't looking good. Their recommendation was to put both back. So we did. But I've got zero hope. The mood in theatre was very sombre and they kept saying you can have more time, or ask us any questions. But I don't have any. I'm just gutted that our top quality embryo is essentially dying 😢

So transfer happened with tears streaming down my face.

Just going through the motions now.

@VenusStarr what a whirlwind couple of weeks you've had. Try and cling onto the fact they wouldn't have put them in if there wasn't a chance. They really wouldn't have. Big love to you x

Can only second this @VenusStarr but I am so sorry it’s so awful right now. I truly hope it’s a miracle morula but sending you so much strength, and we’ll all be keeping some hope on your behalf, I know it’s impossible to see right now. Sending hugs

Gardenlady543 · 29/10/2022 20:54

Sorry to hear you've had such a hard time @VenusStarr I hope at least one of the two transferred take, in a book I've got it talks about how the uterus is a better environment than the lab and morulas can take.

@seven201 I would have thought the trigger would have been out of your system do you think it's a chemical? What dose of prednisolone are you on? I would probably wean by 5mg every 3 days unless you're on a low dose and only been on it very briefly.

Janefx40 · 29/10/2022 22:02

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry it's not been a good day. It's so hard doing this when you feel certain it's failed but there is still a possibility. Treat yourself with care and love. You are carrying your precious embryos for now. I know sometimes you prefer to step away and that's fine but always here if you need us xxx

OrangeBengal · 29/10/2022 22:13

Love to you @VenusStarr. Try and keep a little hope for yourself and your embabies if you can.

2021ivfagain · 29/10/2022 23:02

@VenusStarr

I’m so sorry. Take one day at a time. They would only transfer what has a chance so you do have a chance.

seven201 · 29/10/2022 23:02

@Gardenlady543 thank you. I think it was the trigger leaving as it did get gradually lighter from Tuesday. Maybe a very very brief chemical, who knows. I'm on 25 but I did discover a bit on my treatment plan saying I could stop straight off with a BFN, so that's good. I'll do a last test tomorrow just so I'm sure.

How are you doing? Do you fee physically back to health after the op or still struggling from sitting etc?
