Yes, when I had my tests done, I miscarried 4 weeks before the blood tests. Whereas the nhs make you wait 12 weeks @birdbybird and I had my results 2 weeks later and started treatment straight away.

MyEasterEggs · 15/07/2022 22:35

@VenusStarr I’m in Edinburgh and got in touch with Dr Rai’s secretary directly to book the test via email. I’ll be paying them directly. Haven’t had a referral letter or anything so I’m assuming you could do the same and email them? Can DM details x

@Gardenlady543 sorry I missed your recent post as I was writing mine. I'm glad they got enough donors - I did think that I'd never heard of it being cancelled on the forums I'm on! Good idea re the pets. And that gynae sounds great (although it is a bit odd to think he has looked at the Queens personals!!)

@birdbybird Ozturk is well respected I think. Mine is Mr Theodorou. The consultant care is one of the better things about the clinic I'd say. I'm sorry you're stuck in limbo. There's no right answer on how long to grieve as you know. You just have to see how you feel 💐💐.

@Janefx40 I think a lot of people have LIT just from their partner and when donors are needed, it's harder to schedule. It all got a bit messy, as originally it was booked in for Thursday, then I was told the biopsy couldn't happen on that day, but could happen on Tuesday when there weren't enough donors, then the biopsy couldn't happen on Tuesday.

So the end result was me going for the biopsy yesterday and going again for LIT which is happening this coming Thursday as originally planned. A bit a nightmare but at least the biopsy is now done.

I have the consultation on Wednesday morning, I'm hoping it goes well and that he's willing to operate.

birdbybird · 17/07/2022 12:37

Hi @Janefx40 could I ask if CRGH have any opinion on Dr Gorgy or Dr Shehata?
I'm going to ask them tomorrow.

Gardenlady543 · 17/07/2022 18:18

How are you feeling @seven201 I hope the clinic appointment goes ok tomorrow ❤️

Janefx40 · 17/07/2022 18:33

@birdbybird my consultant is super chilled. He was happy for me to go with either. They can either prescribe to Mr S's instructions (if they are drugs they prescribe) or I can work with Mr S alongside. I went with the latter because I wanted Humira that they don't prescribe x

Thinking of you @seven201 ❤️

Hope your appointment tomorrow goes well @birdbybird

Hope everyone is OK xx

@Gardenlady543 ive now done 2 weeks of antibiotics and am on day 17 of my 30 days of probiotics. I’ve just done another vaginal ph test and the difference is huge and I think the result looks pretty normal! Is that a good sign or can I not read too much in to that?

@seven201 thinking of you. Hope you had a good time at your friend's birthday.

That's a great sign @Molls87 certain dysbiotic bacteria (like the ones that cause BV) need a high pH to flourish. This doesn't tell you exactly what's happening in the uterus and it doesn't tell you about dysbiotic bacteria that can flourish in a lower pH.

But it's the best at home screening test I can think of, if it was high before and now it's looking normal, then it sounds like you're in a better position than you were.

Molls87 · 17/07/2022 22:14

@Gardenlady543 Thank you! I’m not naive enough to think it means all is good but I’m trying to see it as a positive! Can’t rebiopsy for another month so still got some waiting to do! Hope you are doing ok.

birdbybird · 18/07/2022 09:22

Thank you @Janefx40 and @VenusStarr
I hope you are ok seven201

seven201 · 18/07/2022 10:07

I'm at the EPU to have the scan so they will give me the tablets to bring on the moscarriage. They’re saying I’m not on the list for today, only tomorrow! Doctor definitely said Monday last week as I wrote it down and was happy it was Monday not Tuesday. I’m either going to have to wait here forever and be last on the list (if the sonographer even agrees) or will have to come back tomorrow. I've already been sat here for 30 mins and they've not let me know either way. Aghhhhhh.

seven201 · 18/07/2022 11:04

They're masking me come back tomorrow. I'm in a massive emotional strop about it.

Gardenlady543 · 18/07/2022 12:07

@seven201 that's rubbish! It's the 2 hottest days ever and you're having to sit for hours there today and then may have to go back tomorrow! I hope they can get things sorted to get you seen asap.

VenusStarr · 18/07/2022 12:52

Oh @seven201 I'm so sorry. That's really shit. How far along are you now? It's awful you're in this limbo, are there no signs of it happening on its own? Sending love ❤️

Janefx40 · 18/07/2022 13:04

@seven201 I'm so sorry - that is awful. Grrrr. Shake a fist at them from me. It's so unfair that their error impacts on you like this. Sending love x

@seven201 I'm really sorry. I would be so angry.

MyEasterEggs · 18/07/2022 16:13

So sorry @seven201. That’s incredibly poor of them, you’d think they’d have scanned you since it was their error and you’ve travelled, and especially with the weather. Lots of love 💛

seven201 · 18/07/2022 16:26

I really am full of rage about it. I'm not normally a ragey person at all. I think it's just because I'd psyched myself up for today, not tomorrow. They said it has to be 7 days + between scans. It was just a mistake by the doctor last week saying Monday not Tuesday. It's just infuriating that they also wouldn't count the ivf clinic scan or miscarriage clinic scan as part of evidence. I'm 9+2 today but it would have stopped at least a week and a half ago. No signs of it happening soon. Just hope the tablets work when I do get them! I've told work I won't be in tues and weds, prob not thurs and fri too.

Yuliaaa · 18/07/2022 18:04

@seven201 I am so sorry the whole thing has become such a huge mess. I would be fuming too. Not only are you dealing with your own pain, but also you need to deal with their errros. Hugs!

Yuliaaa · 18/07/2022 18:19

@VenusStarr thank you for asking. Actually I am not ok at all. I am the lowest point since I started IVF. Reading all the updates here is also making me really sad.

Sending love and hugs to all of you!

MyEasterEggs · 18/07/2022 19:50

Ladies, hope you won’t mind me asking, but was ureaplasma included in your EndomeTRIO? I’m sure I read that it wasn’t. So I booked a separate test but there’s a result (negative) in my EndomeTRIO notes so I think I’ll cancel. I wonder if they’re adding more markers to the test as they develop the science behind it?

Having Homocysteine and Toxoplasma Antibodies in addition to TEG on Wednesday then I think (hope) that’s all my tests done. I’m pre-receptive so just an extra day on progesterone it seems and EMMA/ALICE fine. I’m surprised as my partner tested positive for bacterial vaginosis (based on urine culture) and I have occasional UTI flare ups after intercourse. But then I’ve done so much in terms of microbiome/infection treatment ahead of biopsy that I may have dealt with it that way? I’m pleased, of course, but forever sceptical…
