Oh god @seven201 don't look! I know I shouldn't, it's completely unhelpful. How are you feeling?
Hopefully it's not the case, but I think he does like to see you if an ivf cycle fails before you try again.

I'm glad you have a plan @Janefx40 hopefully next cycle will be smoother for you, but I'm pleased you have another plan after that.

@VenusStarr a hug for you too! So sorry for feeling unwell. During this journey some days can be pretty rough and the waiting and questioning are the worst!

I am seeing that acupuncturist tonight. Other than that, I am pretty convinced I'll go for a second opinion.

How was acupuncture @Yuliaaa ? I enjoy it but its so expensive! Spent £150 this cycle on it 😕

I tested my trigger shot today - sort of nice to see a positive test although not a real one!! Quite strong still for a week past.

It's definitely a weird limbo @Janefx40 I haven't tested my trigger. I did last time at 9 days past and it was positive so I got my hopes up. I haven't got any tests in at the moment but I just don't want to... treating it like a pupo bubble! 😅

I figured it would be safe to test my trigger this time as there's no chance of pregnancy. It's just an experiment!! But actually I think they are going to give me an Hcg injection at transfer too so I won't be able to test early at all....if I ever get there.

Will you do a home test or bloods?

On Monday just a frer @Janefx40 but in my FET it'll be bloods at clinic.

FET meds arrived today and I feel nothing 😕

I know a couple of other women who are under Dr Gorgy who have hcg injections as part of their protocol. I think its good that you are testing it out so you know roughly how long it stays in your system.
In my fresh cycle, the trigger was definitely out at 12 days past, which is what I'll ve on Monday.... all these calculations!! 🤪

@VenusStarr we just had a talk yesterday. He looked over my file and concluded that I have an issue with estrogen and progesterone being on the lower side and basically affecting the lining thickness. He used to work in the same clinic I go to, so he actually knows stuff about ivf. He didn't comment anything about my consultant's choice of treatment, which is understandable since they had been colleagues. He agreed to assist me ttcing naturally for a while, a thing that my consultant has never been 100% willing to do. At this point I am almost sure that I will change clinics. I will look for someone more open to change/different solutions because I am sick of being stuck in the same situation as we did at the beginning. So far IVF hasn't worked for us and we haven't got any answers, except for the same old "oh, it's unexplained" or "your eggs might be the issue". While I do understand I might not find an answer, I need a different course of action. Sorry for the rant, I am having a bad day!

Testing the triggers sound good. I had no idea they stayed in your body that long! I've not heard of a trigger being used in a FET - how does that help out of interest?

@Yuliaaa that sounds like a good chat. From an outsiders perspective I think it would at the very minimum give you the mental boost of a fresh start elsewhere and wouldn't do any harm. Trying naturally in the meantime is really good too.

My transfer was last Thursday, so I might cave soon. Might even be a complete plonker and try and hold my wee for a few hours this evening.

Not to encourage or discourage @seven201 but today would be around 12dpo. But don't forget I think frozen transfers can take longer to implant (I've read that somewhere I'm sure).

I think the hcg boosters are to trick your body into thinking you're already pregnant to make it more favourable? Although I'm not entirely sure. They were also told to have sex the night before transfer 🤔

@Yuliaaa don't apologise! I'm glad he said he'll support you to ttc naturally. I definitely have found doing something different time helps my mindset. Just doing the same again doesn't give me much hope or confidence.

@Yuliaaa sounds like a really helpful acupuncturist. You're not ranting. We want to hear about it all!

@seven201 I do a Natural modified cycle so it's all natural except when I am ready to ovulate they give me an Hcg trigger - this is just because I did an ERA so it enables them to be more precise about when I will ovulate. They are then ALSO proposing to give me a small amount of Hcg as @VenusStarr said to prep my body a bit.

And eeeeeekkkk testing tonight?!!! We'll be here if you do.....

So, there's a faint line but I don't know if it's an indent. It showed up at 3 mins, the photo is about 5 mins (and is a little darker). I think it has some pink colour to it. Do you mind if I upload a photo? Sorry! Held my wee for 4 hrs and it's not super concentrated.

@seven201 faint line sounds promising. I don't personally mind if you upload a picture and don't find it triggering but can't speak for others. Crossing everything for you xxx

@Janefx40 thank you for that. I don't really think uploading a photo is going to help anyway. It's just a very faint line and it's hard to see any colour anyway. Got a bit carried away! I'll test again in the morning. We've never had a BFP from ivf, so it's a bit of a deal here.

It's really interesting to hear adding HCG can potentially help with implantation/pregnancy. It's all such a mystery!
