IVF at evewell, argc or dr gorgy

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of ivf at any of these clinics.

I've had two miscarriages, 1 at 8 weeks and 1 at 12 weeks and two chemical pregnancies so we are starting to think about ivf.

I've had tests with Zita west and they found issues with my blood clotting and I also have elevated no cells.

I would love to hear anyones experiences of ivf at evewell, argc abs dr gorgy. I've heard good things about all, I'm not sure if evewell believe in immunes?

I've head dr gorgy used to work at argc and has set his own clinic which works in line with argc but it slightly cheaper?

Thanks so much xx

There are pros and cons to each.

Evewell is the nicest patient experience by a long way but their strength is not immunes. They are very happy to work alongside Dr Gorgy/Mr Shehata though.

ARGC are great at immunes, have great stats, but IVF with them is a full time job. You either need extreme job flexibility (& work in central London) or the ability to take off 2+ weeks per cycle. The cost can also be fairly extreme.

I’m yet to meet anyone who would recommend IVF with Dr Gorgy. His patient admin is horrendous and the couple of people I’ve met who did IVF with him described it as a “disaster”.

Thanks so much for your message @Porridgeislife that's very interesting to know. Do you know anyone who has done ivf with evewell and worked with dr gorgy for immunes?

I really am not sure which was to go as this would be our first attempt at ivf so wondering to if going with evewell will be less traumatic and cheaper but if that fails and i have to end up at argc anyway and spend double.

So tricky xx

Hi @FluffyWatts I did ivf with argc and immunes with Gorgy and had my rainbow after many mmcs.
Argc I found expensive but very organised ( it doesn’t always seem so but I found they were quick to reply to questions on email and calls) I felt in safe hands. My first ivf I just trusted them and got 2 Frosties on ice
The next ivf fresh transfer is my rainbow. Argc do immunes but they are more cautious then Gorgy, for example, they knew I had immune issues from previous pregnancies and multiple tests but wanted me to wait for more immune results to come back before starting on some of the immune drugs. I went straight to Gorgy and got prescriptions that day and was put on a prednisone dose 15mg higher than Argc was prescribing.
Gorgy is more experimental and offers more immune treatments - like LIT. If you go to his website all the immune issues and treatments are listed. As pp state’s administration chaotic there, I’m happy I did the ivf at Argc.
I will do the same thing for the Frosties - Argc and Gorgy.
Both clinics have really lovely people working there as well, although can be busy etc I had some wonderful care.
Pm me if you want further details

@FluffyWatts sorry for your losses.

I've done several treatment cycles at ARGC and also had consultations at the Evewell. I was due to start treatment with the Evewell but changed my mind. It really wasn't for me. It's a lovely environment etc there but really expensive. They charge more for everything than ARGC and I found myself resenting it (I'd sit on a fancy sofa and think - I'd happily sit on a normal chair and be charged less!!). But some people love that it has a nicer environment. ARGC is expensive because they do a lot but they don't actually charge that much for each item. People were telling me that the Evewell worked out similar cost wise because they charge more but do less - personally that's not what I'm looking for.

I also just felt the Evewell was unproven as so new. In the end I went to CRGH. I really rate ARGC but just needed a change. I actually really like CRGH too. I'd recommend either but they are vastly different!

Xxx

Thanks so much @Janefx40 that's so helpful. Yes the fact that they are so new and does worry me. It's so hard to choose, I think I might do consults at a couple of them.

Did you have success at argc and crgc?

Thanks again xx

Hi all, bumping this as I’m planning to move clinics. Used to be with Evewell but considering ARGC. Any advise would be appreciated.

@FluffyWatts what did you decide on in the end?

Scottishgirl85 · 13/05/2022 07:11

We're now pregnant with Evewell. I can't fault them, they have been amazing throughout.

MummyDiaries · 13/05/2022 20:06

@Scottishgirl85 if you don’t mind may I ask who is your Dr and what was your case/what made the difference for you? I was really happy with them but have completely lost faith now and staying longer just for comfort feels wrong considering I am running out of time and although I’m dreading the risk of my next clinic being bad… Also we’ve had 2 cycles with them and this is our 5th ivf and I am really struggling with deciding when’s a good time to make a change.. when do you stop and say ok this place is not working out for me.. Especially when it feels like they’re now winging it a bit 🙄

MyEasterEggs · 13/05/2022 23:44

What’s made you lose faith @MummyDiaries? We’ve got a few embryos (first time IVF) after having treatment with them recently. Next step is immune testing and EndomeTRIO then onto FET.

Scottishgirl85 · 14/05/2022 07:34

@MummyDiaries we're with Dr Dimitri Psaroudakis. He's been fab. Our case is probably quite straightforward as we were male factor infertility. We went to 4 open days and chose Evewell as their service seemed really individualised and I felt like they really cared. I didn't want the stress of chasing things. The phone is answered within seconds, you get straight through to the nurses, they were flexible with appointments to fit with my work commitments, the next steps were clearly laid out in an email after every appointment. It just seemed so easy and I think not being stressed plays a big role. Wishing you lots of luck x
