Is it worth taking a probiotic?

I've had BV a few months back but now all resolved.
I can't afford to do the ALICE/EMMA testing to see if there's an issue further up so it is worth taking an oral probiotic just in case?
I would get one specifically for vaginal heath but I'd prefer oral as I'm worried that vaginal capsules might kill off sperm.

Yes, definitely. I take Optibac For Women (one per day). Had a friend going through IVF who had had BV and was advised by her consultant to take Optibac. Apparently, it is good to take anyway if you are doing IVF and can improve chances of implantation(?). Don’t quote me on that though! I am taking it (along with many other supplements!) and don’t have BV or anything as far as I am aware.

@fairgame84 I wrote a detailed post on this subject on the Reddit infertility forum:

@Mouseorchestra7
The women's everyday optibac or the intimate health one?

@Gardenlady543 I'll have a read later when I get home. Thankyou x

@Gardenlady543 your article on reddit is really informative thankyou!
I will start the oral probiotics. My pH is still normal at present so I'll leave the vaginal capsules for now, I don't want to overdo it!
