I'm sorry about the developments @StillTrying10000 it is early for a scan though isn't it? You're not even at the OTD yet are you? I think a hysteroscopy will be useful and the plan of banking embryos and a fresh transfer sounds good too.

@seven201 lol not sure b&q would have believed it's red paint!

StillTrying10000 · 25/02/2022 14:51

@Gardenlady543 it's OTD today, 4 weeks into this cycle. There was something to be seen on the scan in my womb but somehow they knew it wasn't right. I've just had my HCG results and it was 1 so they were right and my AMH is now 5. I'll stop my meds now and hope my period starts soon so I can move forward with the next cycle. At least I'm free from the painful TWW now. Thanks to everyone for their support through it xx

Gardenlady543 · 25/02/2022 14:57

Oh I'm sorry @StillTrying10000 will you have this cycle off and start stims with the next bleed?

VenusStarr · 25/02/2022 15:32

I'm so sorry to hear this @StillTrying10000 I've been thinking of you. Was it Mr Jan you saw today? I know it feels hopeless but your amh is similar to mine (well I last tested in November 2020, so might less now), but I got 3 top quality blastocysts and as we know at least one was perfectly healthy.
I'm so sorry its ended like this ❤️❤️ sending lots of love

@seven201 I think we're seeing Dr S about 2pm that day. We're going down a bit early to get lunch

Hope you're doing OK @Gardenlady543, not long til you can do your bloods :)

How are you @Janefx40?

My dh bought home some sweets from his godson's birthday party and they're calling me from the dining room table! Must resist 😑

Mia2022 · 25/02/2022 16:30

@gardenlady543
They have never found anything on ultrasound scan. HSG some years ago was normal.
Im very unsure what to do now ?
I recently took antibiotics so either way i should wait with the trio test because most probably the bacteria, if any, would be gode.
I Will try probiotics. That would be helpful i think.
Should i just go for a new cycle with new clinic ?

Janefx40 · 25/02/2022 16:47

@StillTrying10000 I'm so sorry you haven't had the results we were all hoping for. I'm surprised they scan you at 4 weeks though. Even ARGC (the most lunatic of clinics) don't scan til 5 weeks 4 days.

I'm also seeing Mr Shehata on Wednesday. I know these Forums are anonymous but if you want to say hello if we are there at the same time then send me a DM. Absolutely no pressure tho. Am tempted to book in for 21st and meet @VenusStarr and @seven201 too LOL!!

I'm good thanks for asking @VenusStarr Finding it very hard to focus on anything outside of fertility tho. Work is a joke. Wish I could afford to not work for a few months.

@Mia2022 I'm sorry you've been on such a long tough journey. I don't have any advice but let's still hope this current embryo transfer works 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@seven201 glad you liked Mr S. the nurses were nice too weren't they?

Yes the shopping centre isn't the best. I shall be visiting again on Wednesday to return that coat 😂

@Janefx40 The scan was sort of because they're going to let me go straight into my next cycle without a break so just checking it all looked okay and ovaries looked good. I also think he was just being very kind and trying to put me out of my misery. Yes @VenusStarr it was Dr Jan, he's so lovely. @Gardenlady543 I'm desperate not to lose another month so they said they can do hysteroscopy in the same cycle as my next EC as long as it's day 1 of my cycle so I'm going to do that, probably this Monday and EC a couple of weeks after. Unless it finds something that they need to treat of course.
Gosh it's so weird how I feel totally okay now. Once I know it's failed again and have a plan I can move on. It's the hope that breaks me. Thank you so much for all of your support over the past week! xxx

seven201 · 25/02/2022 20:22

@StillTrying10000 so sorry to catch up on your news from today. I'm glad you at least have this hysteroscopy and egg collection and fresh transfer to throw yourself into. I think it feels good to be doing something.

@Janefx40 I really wanted to buy something after our appt too. So I bought some concealer in boots - not the most exciting! I did get dh fo take a photo of me in from of the Ashley centre lifts and send it to my family to work out where I was - they didn't get it right! We used to go with my granny whenever we visited, so they were rubbish! Yeah, nurses were very nice. I really felt like I was doing the right thing going there. It's hard to put your trust into strangers to help you have a baby.

@VenusStarr that's crazy! Sounds like we'll miss each other by just an hour or so.

Janefx40 · 28/02/2022 07:42

Turns out I can't get a strong positive test in anything! Me and DD both have Covid! She got a strong second line the second the liquid touched the test. Mine was a squinter that gradually turned to a faint positive. DP was watching it develop with me saying "that's negative" and I'm saying "trust me, I've read enough faint positives tests before!" Is there such a thing as a chemical Covid test 😂😂😂 may as well laugh!

@StillTrying10000 glad you liked them. I also tried buying make up in Boots after but they'd ran out of my colour. When is your follow up again?

@StillTrying10000 sorry for tagging you then. That was meant for @seven201

How are you doing?

OP posts:
StillTrying10000 · 28/02/2022 08:09

@Janefx40 Oww so sorry to hear that anyway! Are you and DD feeling okay or are you very poorly? Will you still be able to speak to Dr S on Wednesday via Zoom or something or will they still let you in anyway? xxx

seven201 · 28/02/2022 09:03

@Janefx40 oh no!!! I hope you and dd don't feel poorly with it. My dh and dd had it over half term and I was worried I'd catch it again (had it over new year) and have my first consultation cancelled. But... I reckon it will be fine to do on the follow up one on the phone or teams. Would you be happy with that? When is it again? Mine is 21st.

VenusStarr · 28/02/2022 10:12

Oh @Janefx40 I'm sorry to hear that! I'm sure you can change it to a zoom chat. If you need to start any meds they can post them next day delivery. Hope you both aren't feeling rough ❤️

I'm pretty sure af is on her way today, finally. Had somme spotting, so I've just started the sitagliptin today.

How are you @StillTrying10000 did your af arrive? I hope your hysteroscopy goes OK if its today.

How are you @Gardenlady543, isn't today the day for your bloods? 🤞

Hope you're OK @seven201

StillTrying10000 · 28/02/2022 10:20

@VenusStarr AF wasn't here last night so I couldn't book in so of course the minute I walk into the london office today she arrives with a vengeance. Bloody typical. I'm waiting to find out if they can therefore book my hysteroscopy tomorrow and would also start stims tomorrow night if it's all clear. I'm glad AF is also finally on the way for you too. x

VenusStarr · 28/02/2022 10:24

Oh that's really annoying @StillTrying10000 hopefully the clinic can for you in and it all goes smoothly. Hope it's not too painful for you today. Xx

Gardenlady543 · 28/02/2022 10:43

@StillTrying10000 that's great that your clinic is on board to get you onto the next step asap, fingers crossed they get you booked in.

@Mia2022 ultrasounds can miss quite a few things and if your last in-depth imaging was a few years ago it would be worth revisiting. I hope this transfer works but if not I think doing the hysteroscopy would be a good idea. 8 is a lot of transfers I would do investigations before another transfer.

@VenusStarr well good news is the courier just took our samples bad news is it was not an easy experience! I woke in the early hours a combination of stress about what's happening in Ukraine (I'm part Ukrainian) and stressing about if we will manage to get 9 vials of my blood. Anyway we went to do it, it didn't go to plan and I almost fainted, they had stuck stickers all the way around the vials so we couldn't see if the vials were full and a few of them are half full on inspection after, so I really hope the samples are adequate. I stupidly decided mine would be harder to do so we should do mine first, but then we needed my husband's samples asap to get them in the centrifuge at the same time. So after a couple of minutes with me lying on the floor with my legs on a chair I was taking my husband's blood. Then into the centrifuge, then into the freezer and then the courier who was supposed to come between 11-5 arrived at 10:30. My husband had to keep the courtier talking while I ran around and got the frozen stuff out, put it in with the room temperature samples and got everything sealed. Anyway mission complete on my end (I hope, I really hope the samples are adequate but if they're not, well there's not much I can do now).

Good luck to everyone with important appointments with Dr S!

VenusStarr · 28/02/2022 14:33

@Gardenlady543 it's absolutely terrifying what's happening in Ukraine. I hope your friends and family are safe ❤️
I'm glad you got there on the end with taking your blood and that its all been sent off now. You've done all you can :)

My period is definitely here, so I'm glad I made the call to start the sitagliptin.

seven201 · 28/02/2022 18:43

@VenusStarr well done on calling it right. Hard to know sometimes.

@Gardenlady543 gosh, what a palaver that sounds. Well done for getting it done. The Ukraine stuff is absolutely terrifying. I hope all your loved ones stay safe.

@StillTrying10000 that is typical! Did you get booked in for tomorrow?

I was expecting my period over the weekend, but it's a little late (I'm not pregnant) which is annoying as I wanted to get the cd2-3 blood tests done today on my day off. Might need to wait an extra month now, but I don't think there's a big rush for them. I did buy a medichecks cd2-4 one but Mr S shook his head when I suggested I could do a finger prick one. I didn't tell him I'd already got one though. I don't see how it can be that inaccurate. Anyone know? Not sure if I should do it anyway or try and get a refund.

@StillTrying10000 that's great you're all booked in. That's a big part of the stress I think. Early start for you! Brew

Not especially (in the grand scheme of infertility costs!), so maybe I'll just do it as an interim measure. Thanks

VenusStarr · 28/02/2022 22:20

I'm glad you're booked in @StillTrying10000 very early start for you! Are you fairly close? It's good you're seeing both of them. Hopefully you get the go ahead to get started on your next cycle 🤞

@seven201 I've never used medichecks but if you can do them for peace of mind, I would.

This period is not a good one, in quite a bit of discomfort, but (tmi, sorry), the colour and flow is good, so I'm relieved about that. X

Janefx40 · 28/02/2022 22:21

@seven201 I've always found Medichecks really good but not surprised Mr S turned his nose up at them. This is a man who won't even trust another clinic's NK tests - he's not going to trust a finger prick!

@StillTrying10000 best of luck with the hysteroscopy. That's a long day hanging around Epsom tho. I was meant to be there on Wednesday but have switched to zoom due to the Covid. It means they're going to send over my results in advance so I must try not to obsess over them.

@Gardenlady543 well done on getting the bloods done. It sounds like a nightmare. We can put that scene into our script when we write our drama series about IVF!

It must be so hard dealing with the news in Ukraine. I really hope your family are ok. Sending extra love ❤️

@VenusStarr glad your period has arrived and you made the right call on the sitagliptin. These little victories always make me feel like I'm winning a little in this weird IVF game.

Am fully expecting to be further delayed because of Covid. I don't know how long I'll now have to wait before starting Humira. Trying to be zen about it. I'm having a PCR test tomorrow morning because the clinic insist on having a clear 28 days post Covid before treatment so the sooner I get my PCR the sooner the clock counts down. Luckily I'm in a research study and they emailed today and asked me to do a PCR so it's all legit!

Must get to sleep. I've been sleeping on DDs floor the past few days as she's been unwell so quite shattered. Back in a bed but she'll probably wake up and call me soon!

Night all xxx

SUMMERTIME02 · 01/03/2022 11:50

I'm feeling stressed. I'm not sure if i messed up but any advise would be appreciated.
I completed my antibiotics and was meant to start my canesflor pessaries straight after. However, i didn't as i was expecting my period to start 2 days after. So i thought rather than stopping the canesflor, i was waiting to see my period through and then start the canesflor.
Now its been 6 days since completing my antibiotics, period is late by 4 days and I haven't taken any canesflor!
Have I totally messed up? :(
I have however been taking 2 Optibac probiotics (intimate flora for women) daily, so im hoping that is getting to the right place.
