@Gardenlady543 thank you once again! honestly you are an angel in disguise. i will get back in touch with my clinic and take it from there x

seven201 · 19/02/2022 19:35

Hello. Welcome to anyone new. I'm struggling to catch up with all these messages.

Wow @Gardenlady543 I love that you're getting your dh to do it and have ordered an eBay centrifuge!

Big love to all x

StillTrying10000 · 20/02/2022 10:56

So I got my first positive test yesterday 5DP5DT with PGA tested embryo but last night my temperate plummeted so I know it's going to be another chemical. I'm just at my wits end, what on earth is there left to try. Embryo was perfect and apparently my uterus is perfect and I'm told I'm taking every drug there is to suppress my NK cells. I'm utterly stuck with what to do next. x

VenusStarr · 20/02/2022 11:21

I'm sorry you're worried @StillTrying10000 have you tested again today? I think it's still very early, so wouldn't write this off yet. But I understand how scary this is.

If this is going the way you think (and I really hope its not), Dr Shehata will have a different approach for you. I found him to be very sensitive after my first ivf chemical pregnancy.
Thinking of you xx

VenusStarr · 20/02/2022 11:24

I just realised that you asked me about subchronic haematomas @Violette22 - I've never had one. I was worried in my recent ivf pregnancy that I may be more likely to get one, especially being on aspirin and clexane but it was ok. I have heard that depending on the size they can cause a miscarriage. I'm sorry you've experienced that.

I hope everyone is doing ok. I picked up my first sitagliptin prescription and expecting my period in about a week, so will start then. Xx

StillTrying10000 · 20/02/2022 11:33

@VenusStarr thank you. This is my 4th transfer and my would be my 3rd chemical. All Dr S did last time I saw him was get angry at me for testing early, he said he wouldn't regard it as a chemical pregnant until after my OTD. I had blood tests on my first cycle so there's no mistaking it as my HCG got up to 75. I guess I'm just going have to see if he has any ideas on what meds to change. I'm kinda paranoid all these drugs are actually stopping things working as I managed to get much further on just aspirin and HCQ before. I just don't know if I should keeping wasting my precious embryos on my useless body but surrogacy just seams so impossible in the UK I feel I have no choice x

Violette22 · 20/02/2022 12:17

@StillTrying10000 I am sorry to hear about your losses and really hope that the current pregnancy isnt another chemical. Have you done a new test?
May I ask what your medicine protocol is?

@VenusStarr nice to hear that you can soon start the sitagliptin, really hope it works😊

I asked my doctor about using the acid tablets that @Gardenlady543 recommended and she thought it was a good idea. The Gynevia brand sold here is actually not a tablet but a gel. I have now been on it and also physioflor since Friday.

My doctor also said that she doesnt recommend the Receptiva test for me at this point. She explained it so that if the test would indicate I have silent enometriosis I would be put on drugs that turn off my own hormones for months. But then after stopping the drugs the problem would come back with my natural hormones....so she would only do the test if we were in IVF and she doesnt recommend that for us now.

But I have been thinking about this...wouldnt it be good to know if I have silent ensometriosis anyway..I dont ger her logic 100%...Hmm

StillTrying10000 · 20/02/2022 12:26

@Violette22 thank you. I'm on aspirin, hydroxychloroquine, vit D, optibac, steroids, intralipid infusions, GSCF, progynova, Lubion, Fragmin. x

VenusStarr · 20/02/2022 12:36

I'm so sorry he said that @StillTrying10000 it's odd because in a natural cycle we're encouraged to test as 10dpo, so on the standard plan not early. But I think FETs are supposed to implant slightly later, so maybe that's why.
I hadn't realised you are on gcsf as well. I think he's going to suggest that for us, but we're going to do the next transfer with the same protocol as I'll have done the sitagliptin (still debating whether to tell him 🤔)

I did wonder if my system was oversuppressed, that's one of my questions to him. Also the implantation clinic (who have prescribed the sitagliptin) strongly recommend not to use aspirin until week 7. It's so hard to know what to do, especially when we're turning to the experts and they have vastly opposing views.

Thank you @Violette22

@Gardenlady543 I hope you're doing OK. I have to admit, hearing all you're doing is quite mind blowing to me. You seem so calm. I hope you're on track to getting the tests you need.

How are you getting on @Janefx40? Did you end up ovulating early, like you thought? I was a few days later this cycle (for me)

Hope you are well @seven201 xx

StillTrying10000 · 20/02/2022 12:51

@VenusStarr it will be interested if you do mention sitagliptin to him how he reacts this time. I'd never come across it before but since you've mentioned it have been researching and it does look like another option. I'm in that crazy phase now where I'm wondering if my temperature dip could have been implantation, HCG starts to rise yesterday as it implants and then the temp dips in that 24 hours maybe? I hate these crazy few days of hope and despair when you just know it's not worked again. It's now 11 days past ovulation though so a bit late for implantation dip, just I've not had any bleeding yet but then I'm pumping my body full of drugs to stop that.
When I tried to speak to Dr Jan and the IVF clinic about what I do if it fails again they both told me I wasn't allowed to think that was and had to be optimistic but that makes me so so angry and it leaves me in a complete state, surely for my mental health having a back up plan is completely reasonable. Why do these bloody men think they know what's best for us mentally, physically you're the experts but trust us you have no idea what's best for us mentally. If I had a plan ready for when it fails again I would feel so much stronger right now rather than heartbroken and totally lost waiting days for an appointment. Eh! Sorry just need a vent x

VenusStarr · 20/02/2022 13:59

Don't be sorry ❤️ @StillTrying10000 I totally get that and am very similar. I feel better with a plan in my mind, it definitely helps.

I'm in two minds about telling him about it. Technically, it was a Tommy's clinic that prescribed it, so I don't feel bad in that way, but I know why my ivf clinic suggested a modification to my protocol, the clinic were very clear that I had to follow it to the letter. We're seeing him in a month, so I'll have had a few weeks on it by then. I want to give it the full 3 months though before we even think about another transfer.

In my last transfer I didn't temp at all but had my fitbit on, even though I didn't look at it, it was recording my resting heart rate and that didn't increase until about 9dp5dt. I'm so glad I didn't look as that would've stressed me out. So please try not to get too caught up in your temperature xx

StillTrying10000 · 20/02/2022 16:10

@VenusStarr thanks. I guess you can just play it by ear depending how the consultation goes. I was hoping today the test might be a bit more visible but I can barely see anything. I know it's only 6DP5DT but I thought after 24 hours the line might be darkening. Ehh, I have to go and see all my family now and pretend everything is all peachy x

SUMMERTIME02 · 20/02/2022 17:15

Quick question for those who had their era, emma, alice test done through their clinic who used igenomix -

Did you get a copy of your results report from Igenomix? or just a letter from your clinic with a short summary of results?

I received a letter and have requested a copy of my igenomix report, im hoping they can give me a copy for my own records.

SUMMERTIME02 · 20/02/2022 17:17

to add to my previous message, a report from igenomix via your clinic and not from them directly.

VenusStarr · 20/02/2022 17:48

@SUMMERTIME02 I only received the report via email from the clinic, no letter.

I hope tomorrow brings some clarity (if you're testing). I hope this afternoon will be th your family goes OK ❤️

seven201 · 20/02/2022 19:55

@SUMMERTIME02

to add to my previous message, a report from igenomix via your clinic and not from them directly.
I was just given the report, no letter.
seven201 · 20/02/2022 19:58

@StillTrying10000 so sorry you're in the unknown period and had that dip. For what it's worth my temp is always all over the place and means nothing for me. It's still early so testing is going to be unreliable. When is official test day?

I like having a plan too. It really really pisses me off when doctors and nurses tell you to 'not worry about it'. Not helpful at all!

seven201 · 20/02/2022 20:09

@VenusStarr how are you doing now you've had time to process the result from the Tommys testing?

Gardenlady543 · 20/02/2022 20:47

@SUMMERTIME02 I insisted on the report, it would have been emailed to your doctor by the lab so you can ask them to send it to you.

@VenusStarr I think my coping mechanism
is planning, I find it stressful but I'd find not doing it more stressful. The treatment is more relaxing for me than the time inbetween as everything is all set up and there's nothing I can do to change anything.

@Violette22 that's good that your doctor is onboard with the treatment.

I hope everyone is ok. I'm hoping my centrifuge arrives tomorrow otherwise I have to wait until next week to do the tests, but it was sent first class on Saturday morning so think it's unlikely.

Janefx40 · 20/02/2022 21:26

@StillTrying10000 I'm so pleased for you seeing that second line. 6dp5dt is really early - it's only 11dpo. I'm not a serial optimist or someone who always says that. Quite the opposite - but in this case it IS early. I know nothing about temping so can't help with that but hope it means nothing bad. An anxious wait now over the next few days.

@Gardenlady543 fingers crossed for Royal Mail.

@VenusStarr I've been thinking of you and wondering how you are. Yes I think I ovulated early. I had a positive OPK at 10dpo. I've decided to take noresthisterone tho so that I can line up my period with my Mr Shehata appointment. Maybe a silly move since my body could probably do with a natural cycle to click back post chemical and I worked bloody hard to sort of my periods so that I could go into my mock cycle and FET on a totally natural cycle. But I was going to come on a week before my Mr S results which would have meant more delays. So am taking it.

Am now worrying that my immune system will be too downregulated with Mr S. He totally dismissed my uterine biopsy result. Ah well - always something to worry about

Janefx40 · 21/02/2022 11:42

Eeek I've started bleeding. Not loads but more than I would ever get between periods. Maybe I started noresthisterone too late bearing in mind that I ovulated early. Not not sure whether to stop and let myself bleed or keep going. Hope I've not screwed my body up too much.

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 21/02/2022 12:01

@Gardenlady543 any sign of the centrifuge?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 21/02/2022 15:22

Oh @Janefx40 I think I'd maybe just let the bleeding play out, but I've never taken noresthisterone before. Very frustrating for you though.
Thank you for thinking of me ❤️

I'm OK thank you @seven201 I feel better trying a new approach. I just wish it wasn't such along hard journey.
How are you? When are you seeing Dr S? Did you ttc this cycle, I remember you had a scan mid way through.

@Gardenlady543 I hope you got your delivery and its all gone well.

@StillTrying10000 thinking of you today ❤️

Gardenlady543 · 21/02/2022 18:57

No centrifuge today, the lab got back to me and said I don't need to centrifuge it if I can't as long as they get it quickly, but I've already paid for the centrifuge so feel I should wait for it to arrive now. So won't be able to sent it off until next week now :(

StillTrying10000 · 21/02/2022 19:12

@Gardenlady543 that's annoying about the delivery, it does make sense to wait for it now.
@Janefx40 what was your uterine biopsy result that he dismissed?

So my temperature peaked back up this morning so I got all optimistic again but tests are all pretty blank. When's the latest you can get a positive test and it still be okay? I'm 7DP5DT but not even a hint. I've got to go to the london office tomorrow and am terrified I'll start bleeding then. Sorry being so self obsessed at the mo. I hope everyone else is doing okay x
