We are looking to do FET anytime from January. We have 3 embryos left and can never have more as husband lost both testicles to cancer. Is anyone else worried about catching covid mid-cycle and hence disrupting treatment, or catching it after transfer and symptoms impacting success? I'm wondering whether to delay treatment until spring when perhaps risk of catching it will have lessened. Anyone thinking similar?

@Scottishgirl85 I asked this question in a chat earlier today too as I’m also thinking about doing this. It seems too much risk of cancelled cycles for the sake of waiting another month or so possibly for me. Still on the fence a bit though

@Scottishgirl85 I was like this when I first started so 2 weeks before my first appointment (fresh cycle) We only went to work & then home , both myself & my partner test everyday (extreme I know) I have to send covid tests into the clinic before appointments so makes sense to do it everyday. We just do a big shop before then do a click & collect or pop into the Tesco express for little bits. It's hard as we pretty much isolate away the whole time & Don't see anyone not even family but we know it's for the best.

Given the state of Covid cases at the moment, I'd probably be tempted to wait a couple of months until we know more about how Omicron is going to pan out. Maybe ask your clinic what they'd recommend?

Also, if you're in Scotland, new rules for fertility treatment came out just before Christmas about vaccination requirements, so you might want to look into those as they might influence your scheduling choices?
