Hi all, I know there’s a few threads on this but I need some help as I’m completely heartbroken.

Background is we have tubal factor infertility, low AMH. I’m 31. Healthy BMI etc. Sperm count all fine. We got 3 good quality embryos from our round in March. All three have failed to implant.

We live in Scotland so are lucky to get two more rounds of IVF on the NHS. However I am reluctant to just go blindly in to a new round without further investigation in to the repeated failures.

Does anyone have any guidance for our next steps? What tests should I get done? I’ve heard of ERA, Alice and Emma but have no idea what these mean! Also can anyone recommend clinics that specialise in implantation failure (I’m willing to pay private if it saves me this heartache) bearing in mind I also have low AMH.

Thanks all.

@Pumpkinspice77 It may just be bad luck. Th magic number is 3 full rounds (i.e. all fresh and frozen embryos) of IVF to acheive a pregnancy. Unless you've had embryos tested, it may be they were all chromosomally abnormal, which may also impact. You might want to consider PGT-A screening to make sure you're only transferring euploid embryos

@Pumpkinspice77 has your partner had a sperm DNA Fragmentation comet test? My husbands semen analysis was always fine but we checked everything for both of us after our failed round (Emma and Alice, Killer cells, thyroid etc) and the only thing to come back abnormal was the sperm DNA frag. I would say it's worth ruling it out, I'm not sure they do it on the NHS but most private fertility clinics can test for you.

@Dbop100 how did you deal with the dna fragmentation issue?

Dbop100 · 25/12/2021 20:27

@greendress789 always best to see a urologist for further testing as there can be things like infections or varicole which can be fixed and will resolve the issue. If the issue can't be resolved then you can try and use a zymot chip with ICSI IVF. We saw Mr Ramsay he is the best

@Dbop100 we've seen him. It was a few years back. He says there are no issues but the DH's frag was noted as high hence my question.
