IVF - High blood pressure

I am looking for advice please if anyone has been in a similar situation.
I am due to start my first ivf cycle the first week in January. I have just had my last nurse appointment to check bmi, take bloods and check blood pressure.
The nurse noted I had high blood pressure, the nurse said I needed to monitor it. I've never suffered with high blood pressure, I have changed my diet and started exercise to try lower it but it's still high. I'm worried if I can't lower it they'll cancel my jan IVF cycle.
Has anyone been through something similar who could offer advice?
TIA

Have you contacted your GP surgery for advice?
Do you have a home monitor?

It’s quite common for people to have a higher reading at a clinic/hospital but be more relaxed taking home readings so get a lower result.

Advice on how to get the best results here. Little things such as having a full bladder, having recently had caffeine & having your ankles crossed can all affect readings.

I've not contacted my GP as yet but I have borrowed a home monitor from MIL and it's still reading high.
Thanks for the link I'll take a look I didn't realise things like a full bladder can effect blood pressure
Thank you

I dont think they are going to cancel the cycle, but good luck!

@IsabelHerna thank you I hope not. I've finally got a gp appointment for next Tuesday for them to assess my blood pressure as it's still a bit high
