Post egg collection advice!

Hello everyone, been posting for a few weeks and just had my first egg collection today! Lucky enough to get a fair number of eggs but have been warned because of that I have to be careful to watch for signs of OHSS. I’ve heard some clinics give anti coagulation for more than 15 eggs collected but mine have given me nothing, just strict instructions to walk around a lot over the next week or so, to avoid baths etc, and to expect significant bloating (yay). I also have quite a bit of abdo pain already.

Does anyone who’s been through it have any advice for what do over the next week that they found helpful to manage the post EC symptoms and risk? Any foods to avoid or medications that helped? Any advice much appreciated!

Hi,
My diet consisted of protein like meat, eggs and protein shakes. Also I wasn't allowed to eat any fermenting foods. I drank 3l of fluids and isotonic drinks like gatorade. I constantly monitored my weight and my waist size. No exercising and no sudden moves.

@Yuliaaa thanks, I did wonder about being told to walk a lot as that’s exercise I suppose! I did have burger king tonight post op……. Haven’t heard about fermenting foods? So just lots of rest and and healthy eating. Might just try and little walk with the dog for exercise to help with clot risk.

I’m also not an antibiotics due to allergy risk which is worrying me. I suggested having another type of abx but they said not to worry about it….. but it seems like something that I should be on in some way given the infection risk at procedure?

Walking should be fine, don't worry. I don't know about antibiotics but if you are allergic then follow doc's advice.
