IVF advice

I have recently decided to go private for IVF after 4years ttc and trying different things (clomid, Letrozole, metformin etc) and having no luck. I have PCOS and endometriosis and irregular periods. I'm looking at doing the access fertility 2 cycle 50% refund plan and using CRGH. I just wondered if anyone has used access fertility and thought it was worth it over the clinic prices.
I also wondered what vitamins have people taken prior to starting and any diet changes made that helped.
Any other advice on IVF is appreciated, thanks x

I see you haven't had any replies yet, so I thought I'd answer Smile. Sorry I can't help with Access Fertility (I was too old to qualify), but as far as supplements/medication for fertility due to PCOS - I took Metformin 2000 mg, 4g Myo -Inositol, ALA 600 mg and NAC 600 mg daily (ALA and NAC can also help with endometriosis, which I also have symptoms of). I also took Naturelo Pre-Natal twice daily as well as Ubiquinol 200 mg, 1000iu extra Vitamin D, 1200mg Fish oil and Optibac Women's probiotic once a day.

Basically I read "It starts with the egg" (Rebecca Fett also has a website recommending supplement brands), asked questions on this Mumsnet board and chose what made the most sense to me in terms of my PCOS and Endo symptoms and dietary needs - I also increased my natural yogurt/kefir, eggs, nuts, seeds, whole milk and salmon consumption too (none of which I very regularly ate before trying for a baby). I'm finally pregnant after 3 years of IUI and IVF and have kept up the same diet and supplements (as I'm very nervous about loss and I read that those supplements might help prevent it) - apart from the Ubiquinol as I think that is mainly supposed to help with egg quality not pregnancy and the ALA as I hated the way it makes your urine smell.

Good luck!

Hi we are using access but not the refund programme and a different clinic. We are getting 2 rounds for discounted price. If we need both rounds it works out a good bit cheaper. Gives us some peace of mind too I feel.

I did the 2 cycle 50% refund with access and am now pregnant after first round. If all goes well we'll have paid slightly more than we would have for a single round with the clinic but the peace of mind that we could do unlimited frozen transfers and a second round of egg retrievals if needed was totally worth it to me.

In terms of supplements I just took a regular multivitamin and then folic acid and vitamin d as directed by my clinic.

Hi there, I am sorry I can't give you advice on the specific clinic.

As for vitamins, D, B12, folic acid, and some others. Oh, I've found some great recipes for smoothies and salads for IVF on Instagram from IVF coaches and experts, that have vitamins you need.

Thank you all for the replies. So I had my first consultation last week and I've been taking coEnzyme q10, alpha lipoic acid, n-acetylcysteine, pre conception vitamin, metformin 1500mg, ferrous fumerate and I'm going to start levothyroxine for mild hypothyroidism.
We have gone for the 2 cycle 50% refund just for the peace of mind if it doesn't work for us.
I'm waiting my period to start so I can go for dummy transfer and scan, bloods etc and then hopefully my next cycle we will start ivf which will be end of December/ early January.
Due to my pcos my consultant said he will put me on a shorter protocol. What's the rough timeline from starting stims to transfer?
