Norethisterone before FET?

I had egg retrieval on 22nd July and did freeze all due to risk of OHSS.

Unfortunately my clinic has been really slow in offering planning appointment for FET.

I was really hoping to have FET in September which would be just after the ovulation after my first proper period, but my planning appointment isn't till 16th September.

I got LH surge today, which means ovulation in a couple of days and period on schedule around start September. This means I think I'll have missed the boat for September and need to wait till October for FET 😔, my normal cycle is 34 days. I'm feeling very disappointed.

I've asked to go on the cancellation list for a planning appointment sooner. So fingers crossed I get an appointment before 6th September. Then I can go ahead!

Other option I'd considered is starting norethisterone to pause things so my period starts a bit later. I would start it a few days after ovulation this month and stop it 4 days before I want period to start.

I've messaged the clinic, but not heard back yet. I will take advice from them, but just wondering if anyone had done this? Or whether you knew if it would have any negative impact?

Thanks

@Lisajc1 hey! I have used norethisterone with all my cycles, if the clinic give the go ahead they like to use it on day 21 of your cycle you wish to commence on so they can time your period and then start meds for FET. This will be the longest I've been on it which is 17 days and my clinic will only administer 60 tablets. Hope that helps x

Thanks @Bluemeadowbaby.
My periods are regular so will be doing an un medicated FET, but just need to time my period so I can have it in September. Useful to know you've used it! Thanks
