IVF diet

We are doing our 2nd cycle ivf in around 4 months time, we are currently having test done for dna fragmentation after a 1st failed ivf last month so will get results back in 2 weeks

we sort of healthy eat, cut out caffeine and pretty much all alcohol and eat healthy but we want to really step it up so we have some supplements recommended by my clinic along with folic acid omega 3 and I also take DHEA

But we want to meal plan
We both work so want to take lunches and know what we are eating in advance
Think it's the only way we will stay disciplined to not grab a take out on way home if we didn't have something in mind or prepared!

Any ideas?

There’s not much you can control with fertility but diet is something you can do why not? I had the best ivf outcomes after 6 months of the high protein/low carb. I believe it made a difference.
More than anything I was at an optimum weight and was super healthy!
I had terrible amh and follicles so we aren’t all blessed genetically, this is something which could help so you might as well throw the kitchen sink at it as you approach ivf

I'm glad you got a positive outcome! It's fantastic news.

Just because we zan control something it doesn't mean it's effective (scientifically). IVF is still very new and most of the time it felt like hocus pocus pharmacy - and I was one of the fortunate ones. The clinic can't single handedly prove which element of the protocol was responsible for the positive outcome.. Hence why they'd keep tweaking the meds until they/the patient get the outcome they wanted. It's too random I felt and I wish the NHS had something substantial on their website (other than a healthy diet recommendation which applies to all women trying to conceive).

I don’t think anyone knows why it’s successful or not. I only had 4 follicles and am now in third trimester . Some people have three times this number and produce lots of blasts etc but none implant.
Fertility is a massive mystery still and I wish there was more research. My issue seemed to be an immune response ( body attacks embryo) and I had to take a lot of experimental drugs with not much research behind them. No one wants to test drugs on pregnant women or do research with them.
Was it the many many vitamins dh and I took, was it diet, was it luck , immune treatment, weekly acupuncture ? Probably a little bit of everything ! Who really knows for sure 🤷‍♀️
