First IVF Cycle July :)

Anyone else staring in July? Currently on microgynon and soon to start down reg in a couple of weeks!

@Novavee yeah that's right :) I was on it for three weeks and then started 2 weeks of Norethisterone - I had a 5 day break this week and expected a bleed but I've had nothing! So frustrating as I can't start stims until I've started a bleed and I don't want it to move all our schedule as I've taken time off work 😭

There's so much waiting isn't there!

@Novavee sorry I missed the scan question! Due my first scan next Friday 😊 I think so anyway as long as I start a bleed before Saturday

@2021babyhope so after my rant yesterday I finally came on in middle of the night. I feel so much better this morning!

Hopefully you will have yours soon too and you can start stims. I am keeping my 🤞 for you. It's funny how something we usually don't want to have, becomes so important all of a sudden.

It' incredibly frustrating trying to plan this around life and then having our bodies do their own thing and not respect carefully planned schedules, isn't it? Can you move your annual leave if necessary?

@Novavee aaah yay! That's great news!

The nurses said to expect a bleed 72 hours after my last tablet which would technically be today but I won't be happy until it starts 😅

I know it's crazy isn't it, never have I wanted a period more haha

Thanks my love, really hoping I get it before sat. I think I probably could but it would look a bit weird and I've not told work we're doing IVF yet.

@Novavee I started my bleed last night! Talk about cutting it fine 😅 but it's all go for stims tomorrow which im super excited about! Hope you're okay xx

@2021babyhope great news! So you started stims yesterday, right? How was it?

Had a scan and it seems my endometrium is less polypoid so will continue on microgynon for a little while longer. Let's see what the next couple of weeks bring.

@Novavee yep first injection last night! In all honesty I didn't even feel it! Had to ask my husband if it was done 😅

The instruction video we got was based on a 125mg dose though and told us to hold the pen down for 5 seconds, which we did, but we have a higher dose so it didn't express all the medicine 🙃

So we had to put it back in and do the last 25mg - so I think for higher doses you have to wait longer!

It's all trial and error isn't it 😅 we have our scan on Friday so hopefully it's all doing what it should be!

Have you been given anymore news on when you might start stims?

Sorry @S4747 for the slow reply. I’m at James Cook in Middlesbrough. Had an appointment today to run through injections etc was hoping to start next week but they said my BMI is too low 😩 I’m fit and really healthy but they told me I don’t fit the criteria at the moment so I have a month to eat lots of pies! Cried through the whole appointment. 🙈 How are you getting on? X
