Lubion injections

Has anyone experienced cramping and light bleeding after injecting Lubion. I'm on 4 weeks +2 and my hcg and progesterone levels were low. Is this the start of a miscarriage or the result of injections?

Hi @leo1234 as far as I'm aware progesterone shouldn't cause bleeding, it causes constipation which can cause some abdominal pain but I mean I'm sure you'll know what constipation feels like.

If this a natural pregnancy and they've just added in progesterone because of the low progesterone? What level was it?

leo1234 · 12/06/2021 15:38

@Gardenlady543 no this was an IVF cycle. The lubion leaflet says it can cause uterine cramping and bleeding but I was just worried it was both together at the same time. I still have cramps now.
I'm 11dp a 5dt. On day 9 my hcg was 38 and I had low progesterone.

@leo1234 ah ok, I was confused with the 4weeks+2.

Are they doing a repeat hcg to look for doubling? Bleeding is pretty common in early pregnancy it's hard to tell anything from it. Did they increase up your progesterone dose when they said it was low?

leo1234 · 12/06/2021 15:47

@Gardenlady543 yes I have a repeat on Monday. I was just on 2 cyclogest pessaries a day. With my low result they have added in a lubion injection. Ive had constant cramping all day with light spotting so I'm panicking.

Ah bless you @leo1234 well hopefully the progesterone should be improved now. I also take 2 x cyclogest and 1 x lubion. I hope the symptoms settles down for you and you get a good result tomorrow. It doesn't sound like there is much you can do, unless you can call your clinic and speak to someone. Sometimes clinics have staff in on a Saturday. But they may just say keep taking the meds.

Thank you for replying @Gardenlady543 I think it's just nice to have someone to talk to. When you want something so bad it's so hard to go through this. All I can do is pray for the best xx

Ah bless you @leo1234 well you can talk to me anytime, I'm 1dp5dt and this is my third transfer, I seem to have hit ever bump in the road possible so far and yet to have any BFP to date, so hoping it's third time lucky for me.

Hi I am using lubion injections and have done since egg retrieval. The plan is to use it until test day which is weds 8th Sept and then if its bfp then continue for 6 weeks.

Just now I dont know if I can cope. I know I can't manage the pessaries and I know that lubion is the best, but the pain of simply putting in the needle is getting more intense and stinging each now. To such an extent tonight I had to pull it out and reinject and then it hurt so much I was shaking. When I first started these and the other injections I was fairly tolerant but this is getting hard. All injections have gone into my belly. Has anyone found the same and is there anything I can do to make this easier.

Gardenlady543 · 03/09/2021 08:49

I'm sorry @Hansoo injections are no fun. I suggest you get some Emla cream, you can buy this over the counter. Call up some local pharmacies and see if they have it in stock. I normally get it from boots pharmacy. Rub it on an hour before the injection where you plan to inject, it will numb the area. Try to rotate the injection site as much as you can as well.

Thanks will get some today. I keep going left and right each day. And different places each time
The stinging and sharpness getting worse

Hello,
I am also taking Lubion.
I’m having mild cramps and very little bleeding for a few days. I’ve heard that Lubion helps with implantation, and cramps and spotting are side effects, but also can be a consequence of implantation taking place. Sound reasonable, but I am worrying to. I think this is ok to worry about such things.

Here's how I do injections.
Before the injection, when the syringe is ready, I apply ice to the chosen area. Then, I pinch a thick piece of skin between my fingers to make sure that the needle will go inside this fatty tissue, not the muscle. I take a deep breath and as I exhale I insert the needle of the syringe. I noticed that on exhalation brain and body relax, and fear and pain are also disappears. Looking in the mirror is also helps me on this stage. Then I slowly press the syringe, continuing to breathe evenly and deeply, sometimes I count numbers, it doesn’t matter how long, it just helps to relax and to not overthinking.
When the syringe is empty and the needle is still inside I count to 10, release the skin from my fingers, and slowly withdraw the needle. That it.
I hope it will help, and it’s clear (I am not fluent in English, still learning). Good luck everyone! x x x
