Hi all,
So I've just started my 3rd cycle of long protocol icsi. My last two cycles were in 2019 so it seems like a very long time ago that I've been through any of this.
Since my last cycles I've put on abit of weight, and my bmi is now 34.6 (my clinic has a 35 limit) so I'm just under the threshold. I've been feeling really anxious about being weighed, I've really not been eating as much as I should be because I'm so worried that I will put on more weight and push myself of 35. When I spoke to the nurse she told me that I'd be weighed before my endoscratch next week and to carry on dieting so that I'm not as borderline. My concern though is that I do want to increase my calories when I start the medication just to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients that I need. Am I likely to be weighed again once I've started buserelin? And how likely are they to cancel a cycle if they do weigh me at a later date and I've gone over? Really hoping that some of you have been in similar situations because it's driving me nuts!

Private are generally more relaxed

They would prefer you to have a lower bmi to make you healthier but unlikely they will stop the treatment as you are borderline as you are paying

Use the Cronometer app, you can put everything you eat into the app and it will tell you how much of the RDA for vitamins and minerals you’re getting. It also has a balance of the calories you’ve ingested against the calories you’re expecting to burn.

I don’t think you need to increase calories to ensure you get nutrients, most high calorie foods aren’t of any nutritional benefit. If you are worried that your food intake could cause you to put on weight then you should make sure you are balancing it out with light activities like walking.

Thanks, I'll give that app a go. At the moment I'm using my fitness pal to track calories.
When I say increase calories I mean to a normal amount (like 2000) at the moment Im eating 1200 which is definitely not giving me all the nutrition I need. I'm also very active anyway as I own and run a farm. I'm just so anxious that after eating so little for 6 months that just increasing them a little bit will throw me off.
